Consistently Improving

Again this series improves with another story. I find my self more and more interested in the events of the world, and where the story is going. The Main Character is still a little bland and un-relatable. Lacking flaws that provide depth to the character. The supporting characters are much more enjoyable, and they really hold up the story. I will continue reading the Summoner Series with high hopes for a consistently improving story.

Taco bell when you realllllllly need Taco Bell

So my review on the 1 and 2nd installment of this series was about how cheesy the loves scenes are and how Gryff is just amazing without really trying and that the story was pretty simple. However, this one was considerable better then the other two...Gryff really steps up his game with his ladies and the story actually takes a good turn toward being an exciting conclusion.

I still love the monster fights and action scenes and the relative rawness of the world. Gryff is still a cheese ball when it comes to wooing his mates and they do all the work and he basically just has to be the stick they ride on which is ok, the main thing I would like to see in the future is a little more tension between his harem...I get that everyone is cool with sharing Gryff and all but at the third book Id like to see a little jealousy or an occasional cat fight.

Joshua is doing much better with his readings and the audio doesn't have any skipping or issues with tone like the last two so I can see definite improvement...though some of his accents are a bit...ehhhhhhh annoying. Most of the men sound the same and the accents for some of the girls are weird mixes of british/Australian and Indian which I personally don't find enjoyable.

I am still excited for the 4th one! Hopefully we will get more exciting turns and more BA Monster fights!!

Story still pretty good, dialogue/narrating off

I've mostly enjoyed this series. The story is pretty good. What still throws me off is the dialogue and the narration. There always seems to be one or two too many words in the dialogue and some word choice is weird and cringey. What 20 yr old repeatedly refers to his girlfriends as "lovers"? And the cadence of the narration is constantly off. He will say a line and the tone will indicate the end of a statement but a moment later the line continues. It happens all the time and it just pulls you out of the story each time. Also the MC is annoyingly arrogant. Not bad guy arrogant but so confident that it makes it hard to like him sometimes.

Great Performance but storyline needs help!

I listen to the 1st and 2ed book I did love the storyline and I had hoped the 3ed book would continue the good storyline but the author messed this up with way too many sexually explicit content it seem like the author desided to use sex as a filler for when he doesn't know what to write next it seem like every couple of chapters the main character has a sex scene it really has no point to it or he's thinking about sex. The author created a great world with magic and skilled magic user the main character is very inventive with summoning but the author is not building on it. I'm ok with 1 or 2 sex scene in a book but not most of the book, and why does the author need to describe every sex scene. but he does improve the storyline in the last 1 hour and 30 minutes with a wonderful epic battle with a FALLEN angel type of monster and it's minions. I hope the next book is better more battles and less sexual content.

soft porn much?? wtf

I loved the first two, not into graphic sex scenes in books bit it was minimal but this... this is a f***ing porno the story was ok but really short with alot of chapter time filled with detailed sexual context. 3sums and apparently hes irresistible to every woman around... basically the author spent more time thinking of the swx scenes than the story
