Excellent beginner strength training book

#Extremely useful, clear and to the point.

As for the exercises themselves, the book does a pretty good job at explaining how to do each exercise and its importance of. It has good information, but one thing I wish the book did was include more diagrams of how to do proper form. For example, planks are a very good exercise when done correctly. It’s also very dangerous if done incorrectly. . I wish they would show different angles of how your body should be positioned (like how your legs should look, feet placement, how your back should be arched, etc.), especially since this book is aimed at beginners who are prone to making mistakes.

#Just follow the Trainings and you'll see results.

What I really love about this book is the exercises you can do that do NOT require the purchase of weights. I know as we age, we lose bone density and also balance and mobility, so I was very excited to begin working on the exercises in the book. I broke my ankle a couple of years ago and have noticed a definite loss in my balance and mobility, so when I started looking at exercises and saw the post-workout stretches that involved using foam rolling I knew I was onto something. I have tight quads, hip flexors, and an IT band on my right side. Many of the exercises that I saw in this book were exact replications of exercises my trusted physical therapist gave to me when I was recovering from a knee injury, that was actually the result of a tight IT band.

The good: The technique instruction for swings is

I bought this book thinking it was more of a workout program (it sort of is) but it has turned out to be an awesome book to help with technique

The good:

The technique instruction for swings is top-notch. The information about programming is useful. And the idea of this program is beautiful - This is a fantastic update to the original. Clarified a number of things that I had questions about when I first started my practice. The addition of “Timeless Simple” is awesome as a beginner goal.

This is probably the best general physical preparedness program out there. Great job !

Explanations are easy to understand and follow.

I highly recommend it. It is very organized, and the exercises get more complex incrementally. There are a few exercises in here that I've never even heard of before and I like the sound of the different training systems for variety.

This book goes into more detail

A good guide for those who are going to become a good bodybuilder or a person who follows their way of life. I found many useful tables that contain recommendations for training and also for balanced nutrition
