Publisher's Summary

We can not raise a happy child if we are constantly screaming threats at them. No parent sets out to hurt their child, but this type of parenting does just that. To raise a happy child that wants to behave, you need to retrain yourself first. You need to change the way you think and react to their behavior. You need to understand your triggers and heal yourself. Only then you can begin to heal your relationship with your children.

Making the decision to be a positive parent will benefit your whole family. You will find that your children want to behave and follow your rules. You will be less stressed out by the end of the day. Your house will not feel like a battle zone. Instead, you can create a home full of peace and love for the whole family.

This audiobook will show you why strict and permissive parenting do not work. You will learn just how easy it is to embrace a positive parenting style. While learning how to be a positive parent, you will not only heal the relationship with your children but heal yourself along the way.

Nice information

I think this book is very informative. I wish I had read something similar or listened to something similar. When I was growing up my mom always yelled at us, she always came frustrated from work. She was always tired and didn’t keep communication with us, my sister and I. So, now that I have my children, I see how somehow I am reacting the same way as her and how it does affect my child, but I really want to be able to change that and this book it’s a great start.

Great Listen

This was easily understood, very informational, and to the point. The content was read very well, and wasn't monotone or boring at all. Information provided was thoughtful, made sense, promoted constructive self analization, and I will use what I have learned, to apply to my life. I hope to apply everything mentioned within this audio book successfully.

Expecting More

I thought it would be longer. I expected more information. It was still good. Something quick to hear.

It is okay.

Easier said than done, type of thing. Short listen with some good points. Eh Meh.

Good book but...

This is a good book but VERY basic. Great reminders but nothing too unique or ground breaking. Doesn’t provide much detail or specific strategy.

The voice and tone was annoying

The tone that the content was approached sounded like pleading and desperation. Very annoying to listen. Too bad.

Short read (listen)

I was disappointed at the (absence of) depth this went into. The chapters were breezed through and seemed repetitive.

No depth

I was disappointed with the length of the book and the overall depth of material. It had one or two reminder tips that could’ve been learned by gleaning and article. Not worth the read.

It was ok

The book was hard to follow because of the narrators voice. There are a few good ideas in the book to add to your normal parenting routine but overall I didn't agree with a lot of the suggestion for positive parenting. To each their own.
