Publisher's Summary
Ex-Police Scotland detective Bob Hoon has made himself some powerful enemies.
Following his brutal search for the missing daughter of an old army colleague, Hoon is being hunted by the Loop, a secretive criminal cabal with members in very high places and a tendency to eliminate all those who stand against it.
Unfortunately for them, Hoon has never been one to back down from a fight, and he isn’t about to start now. Instead, he’s going to burn their whole damn organization to the ground.
But first, he’s going to have to get inside.
He may be a foulmouthed, hard-drinking psychopath with a death wish, but Bob Hoon is about to do something he hasn’t done in years.
He’s going undercover.
Hear the second explosive Robert Hoon Thriller from million-selling crime author JD Kirk - perfect for fans of Lee Child, Robert Ludlum, and David Baldacci.
“Jog on, Bond. Hoon is the hero we need!” (Angus King)

Furk Me Bob
Bob Hoon is a character of comedic scale and Glaswegian grimness and the plot is more a brawler cartwheel than Southpaw jab. Ultimately a limited shelf life but would make a great DieHard VIX this Christmas in the cinemas.

Brilliant!!!!
Loved this book. Hoon is my favourite. I love how JD Kirk incorporates characters from other series, brings characters momentarily back into the story line. Angus king is the best narrator. Overall I can’t stop listening. Hoon is a modern day More offensive Liam Neeson.

Absolutely wonderful
JDKirk never fails to make me laugh with his Hoon character. Not everyone’s cup of tea but I love the humour. And great how he brought the D Inspector from other books into this one too. Bit bloodthirsty but it is fiction. Very good fiction. More more more!

Enjoyed t so much I listened twice
JD Kirk writes with humour & crime, love it & Angus King’s narration is entertaining & enjoyable. Get the first one in the series, we’ll worth the time. Hope there are more coming.

Didn’t live up to the promise of the first book
It all gets just a bit silly in this second Hoon book. The reinvention of Bob Hoon continues, but the background is a bumbling MI5 operative and a nappy-wearing criminal with a seriously bad South African accent. The plot is far-fetched and the characters two dimensional. Angus King is as good as always, but the book is disappointing. Still worth reading but expect to find yourself rolling your eyes from time to time.

Best one yet
I enjoyed this book much more than the first in the “Hoon” series. It was extremely well written and, as always, the narrator was superb. Hoon”s colourful language was less of a shock to the system this time as I was expecting it and if you can get past it you will find yourself laughing out loud in places at the antics Hoon gets up and his unique view of world.
Violent, yes, bad language, certainly, hugely funny, I can’t wait to see what he gets up to next!

Another cracker!
I love this side series as much if not more than the original DI Logan series, which is a big deal! Bob Hoon’s big heart, way with words, his lack of filter and say it like you f’kn mean it approach is immensely funny, clever and satisfying. JD Kirk has an incredible talent with developing these larger than life, unique characters in dynamic situations that you just don’t want to finish. All the characters are brought to life by the brilliant Angus King like no other narrator could. I devour these books and find them a breathe of fresh air in the thriller genre. So good, let him rip!

Action and humour!
So funny and action packed. Great development of Hoons character after the detective Logan series. Hoons swearing and comebacks are poetry
