Publisher's Summary
All good men must come to an end....
Disgraced ex-cop Robert Hoon has crossed the wrong people for the last time.
Having struck a humiliating blow against the criminal network known as the Loop, Hoon has been targeted by the Alphas, an elite squad of assassins who will not stop until he is dead.
Outnumbered, outgunned, and on unfamiliar territory, Hoon’s only chance of survival lies several hundred miles north, in a place he knows better than anyone else on Earth.
He swore he’d never set foot there again, but almost four decades after he left, Bob Hoon is finally going home.
Westward is the third thriller novel in the Robert Hoon series and is perfect for fans of Jack Reacher, James Bond, and excessive swearing.

Absolutely Cracking
JD Kirk delivers another exceptional tale. Not many authors can create a successful ‘spin off’ using a character from their main series. Hoon was definitely someone you wanted to read more about and JD Kirk has not disappointed. I believe this is the best Hoon book so far. The story is great and there is plenty of action. The humour is constant and I was forced to go back 30 seconds on numerous occasions because I was laughing so much I missed the next lines. There are some intriguing new characters who I really hope continue to appear in future books. Can’t wait to see what Hoon gets up to next but I’m glad he’s back home. Exceptional narration as ever by Angus King

All Hail Hoon!
I always await these books with restless impatience and then blitz them in a day thus leaving myself with yet another agonising wait.
As always, I loved every minute. Hoon stars in yet another story full of action and spectacular insults - and now there's a sister with an equally eloquent personality . Roll on the next book!

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!!
There aren’t enough words to describe how brilliant this book was to listen to and I am so sad it is finished. JD Kirk’s work in this book is the best I have ever had the privilege to listen to. So dramatic, with lots of wonderful characters. So great to meet Berta and to listen to her song in the attic. Amazing! The narrator needs an award along with the author. Thank you Audible.

Absolutely bleeping brilliant!
I can't find words that haven't already been said about this brilliant (have to say it again!) series!!! Such an amazing job by JD Kirk and Angus King, who's THE perfect narrator...without him the book would fall a bit short I'd think. The absolute perfect blend of murder and mirth 🤣, loved the new characters! The ending was a real twist and well thought through, unexpected but still genius as usual! With regards to other reviews, I wish people wouldn't feel the need to give spoilers, I'd much rather the surprise thank you very much, it's really annoying! Maybe I shouldn't read them beforehand; I know these books never disappoint 😃 Can't wait for Bob's next book 😎

Brilliant narrator
It’s easy to forget that there is only one narrator and not a cast of about 10 actors! Angus King has an extraordinary ability to bring to life a vast array of characters with varying accents, young and old, male and female. No-one will ever be able to read the part of Bob Hoon except Angus. Loved the storyline and characters. About to go searching for more Bob and Angus.
