About this listen

Have you tried everything, but life keeps getting worse, and now the way that you're coping has you on a less-than-great path?
Sure, you can keep going, but you might not end up where you wanted.
Or, you can make a choice.
You can ask yourself: So What? Now What?
Osher Günsberg and illustrator Campell Walker (aka 'Struthless') team up to offer a fierce, funny and unforgettable guide to getting you unstuck and back into action. So if this crossroads feels familiar, or describes someone you care about, this book is for you.
Because everyone can use a helping hand.

Osher draws on personal anecdotes, sharing his own experiences and struggles, and how he learned to manage his mental health. For the book, Cam's illustrations emphasise the importance of the message by adding a visual element of engagement. And for this audiobook, Cam has perfectly adapted his art transforming the visual world to take you inside you imagination. Together, the light hearted, and at times, satirical storyline acknowledges the importance of accepting your situation (stuggles), taking responsibility for your actions and encourages you to get comfortable with discomfort, moving past self-pity and making choices to move forward.

The authors offer insight into some of the key concepts of ACT and explain some strategies for accepting thoughts and feelings, challenging unhelpful thinking patterns, clarifying personal values, and committing to deliberate action.

This is a fantastic introduction to mindfulness and probably the most effective psychotherapy developed to date. It is also a very easy and engaging listen. Thank you, Osher, for putting simply into words (and to Cam for adding vision and resonance), what so many of us need to practice. I'd recommend this audiobook as a conversation starter, thought provoker and bridge to professional services.

Ps. After both listening and reading, I'd love to see an animated short film.

Strap yourself in, here is the confronting reality. It is what it is! So What? 🤯
