About this listen

The whole of the magnificent Riftwar Cycle by bestselling author Raymond E. Feist, master of magic and adventure, now available in ebook

For nearly a year peace reigned in the enchanted kingdom of Rillanon. But new challenges awaited Arutha, the Prince of Krondor, when Jimmy the Hand – the youngest thief in the Guild of Mockers – came upon a sinister Nighthawk poised to assassinate him.

What evil power raises the dead and makes corpses do battle with the living at the behest of the Guild of Death? And what high magic can defeat it? Meanwhile, a life-or-death quest must be undertaken to find an antidote to a poison that fells a beautiful princess on her wedding day…

Silverthorn is the second book in the Riftwar Saga. The trilogy concludes with book three, A Darkness at Sethanon.

Continuing the Epic

Really enjoyed this. Was uncertain how the author would be able to follow such an epic as the first two but he expertly introduces and build new characters as well as setting up a story possibly more epic than the initial Rift War. I'm jumping straight into the next book.

Fantastic continuation of the saga!

A great boys-own adventure which the narrator brings so much alive. I read very widely and found this to be pure escapism. If you love the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter Series, Game of Thrones and Star Wars you will enjoy this book 2 in the Rift War Saga Trilogy. (Start at Book 1 Magician) Feist is a master of character creation and story pacing. Five stars.

Descriptive, dramatic and fun to listen to. After being introduced to the characters in the first book this story just gets more intriguing and I find myself wanting to know more. There's a bit of everything and I am a huge fan of the sly humour. Great second part to the saga.
