Publisher's Summary

The sexy heroes of Black Ops, Inc., a covert private security team, sizzle in New York Times best-selling author Cindy Gerard's electrifying new romantic suspense series.

The sultry heat...

Only two things can compel journalist Jenna McMillan back to Buenos Aires after terrorists held her captive there just months before: a rare interview with a shadowy billionaire and the memory of the dark and dangerous man who saved her.

Hides the deadliest threats...

Bad guys, bombs, and bullets are Gabriel Jones' way of life. But he'll never forget the brash redhead he rescued not so long ago - or the passionate kiss they shared before he sent her packing.

And exposes the deepest desires.

Now, forced together by a bombing at the National Congress, Jenna and Gabe confront the urgent longings that simmer between them. But this surprise meeting is no coincidence. A ruthless enemy stalks them with deadly precision. The question is, if they make it out alive, will Gabe turn his back on Jenna again?

Read the bodyguard series first

Like the book but recommend the bodyguard series first at leased the last book Into the dark in this book is when Jenna and Gabe are introduced. They give you the beginning of the relationship in detail or at least detail Gabe. I read the Black op series first and then the bodyguard series. I enjoyed both but was a little disappointed when I read into the dark and found out that I should have read that series first. I enjoyed both series very much. Both have a little bit of everything.

Brilliant!

An action suspense that's strong on all counts and captivates from the opening scene! Really like the in depth character development, friendships and brotherhood, decent action and adventure as well as a romance that evolved throughout the book. Getting all these things right is a delicate balance, very well written and well narrated. Also liked how the rough parts and consequences of conflict aren't sugar coated. There were lots of references to what happened in the last book in the preceding Bodyguard series. There's no need to have read it first because the pertinent information is summarised, but it did make me curious so I might just hop on over to that before continuing with the series.

Excellent read, great characters and accurate portrayal of the realities of combat. Can’t wait to read more books with these characters.

Fantastic!

This is a really well written Romantic Suspense with lots of steam and action! Gabe is an amazing hero and Jenna is one of the few women who could understand and accept his world. The only reason I didn't give this a five star review is because I kept thinking I had missed an earlier book that would have helped me understand their history.

Couldn't Care Less About the Heroine

Holy bananas Jenna is so whiny and immature. By three hours in to the book I was checking how much time was left and hoping it would be over soon. I can honestly say I have never done that before, and though Gabe was a little more compelling, i never truly gave a crap about their relationship. I mean really he could do a lot better.
Then they hatch this completely tropey "smoke out the bad guy" plan and of course it fails - but suddenly gave can take down the guy's whole army by himself? It just seems like lazy and sloppy writing, especially compared to others in the genre like Brockmann and Clare.

Definitely not continuing the series.
