it'll do
exactly as expected, a decent sequel to a decent first book. they're not outstanding and bafflingly amazing and original, but they're food for the soul. the narration wasn't perfect, had a couple of issues with voices and sounds, but it's alright.

A nice ride through medieval history
This book weaves a captivating story as Diana and Matthew flee back in time to uncover some mysteries and so that Diana can "find herself" and discover her powers. We are introduced to interesting and sinister new characters and their links to the present. No mystery is truly solved but complicated instead; setting up the stage for the final scene that is the final book in the trilogy. Well written and very well performed.

Loved the first book and quickly bought the other two so that I can go from one to the other without wasting time trying to find it! Can't wait for the next book. Love the history and movement

Discovery of Witches Series
Love this series from Deborah Harkness. I have the books, but it is nice to have them read to you for a change. I wear a Bluetooth ear piece, so I can listen while I do my housework and exercise. Just hate turning it off.

Story was great recording could be better
The story is enjoyable and is a great addition to the series. The narrator for the most part does a good job and differentiating between the characters is pretty easy. However, the recording itself needs improvement. It is very obvious when different recording sessions have been spliced together because the audio quality from one session is very different from another. Some sessions obviously had recording issues as the quality is definitely lacking. Overall I enjoyed it and if not for the recording issues it would have been 5 stars across the board
