Carl Ramsey is an ex-Earth Navy fighter pilot turned con man. His ship, the Mobius, is home to a ragtag crew of misfits and refugees looking to score a big payday but more often just scratching to pay for fuel. The crew consists of his ex-wife (and pilot), a drunkard, four-handed mechanic, a xeno-predator with the disposition of a 120kg housecat, and the galaxy's most-wanted wizard.

Along the way, the Mobius crew crosses paths with the Black Ocean's vilest scum, from pirate fleets to criminal syndicates, and most law-abiding scum, including Earth Interstellar Enhanced Investigative Organization, ARGO high command, and the Convocation of Wizards.

Even after 86+ hours, I still felt like it was over too soon. Great characters and wacky adventures. Well rounded characters that go through their own changes.
Good to see some move on and others take their place so not just a repeat of the same events with the same people.

not way out there SF but a light hearted series of stories that takes you on adventures around the galaxy with characters that's your never forget.
I thought the narration was wonderful he manages to make the characters come alive and you've never stop believing that's they are real

A riot of good fun and insane plans that hinge more on optimism and adrenaline than good planning, this series is true to its firefly roots, and a compelling and subversive world all of its own dazzling brilliance. a great read that fortunately or unfortunately after 50 plus hours I'm still asking... is there more ?
