Publisher's Summary

Almost 20 years after the barrier between Earth and the Otherworld fell in the Fae Wars, Budapest is balancing on the precipice.

A battle for dominance is brewing between the elite fae and the privileged humans in Eastern Europe. The prejudice between the sides is bubbling with hate and violence.

Nineteen-year-old human, Brexley, has grown up in privilege, but not without heartbreak. After being orphaned, she is taken in by General Markos, living in a walled city rife with power grabs and ruthless political games. Then, one night, the course of her life changes, and Brexley is thrown into the most feared prison in the east. Halalhaz, the House of Death - where you go in but don’t come out. She must learn to live with the worst of fae and human criminals. The rule of hierarchy puts humans on the bottom, where the only way to survive each day is to make alliances with the fae.

Here, she meets the sexy, vicious legend, Warwick Farkas; a myth among man and fae. He is as brutal, cruel, arrogant, and as lethal as the lore says he is. He rules the prison with unchallenged authority. Brexley can’t deny an intense draw to him, one that might cost her life...if The Games - a fight to the death where only one survives - don’t take her out first.

Savage Lands is set in the same world as the Darkness, Collector and Lightness Saga series, but can be listened to as a stand-alone.

Hooked!!

an absolutely captivating read. a really different look at Fae and the reader hooked you in from the start. I have to admit, the sucking in of air before each line was annoying to begin with, but the story engages you so much you quickly take no notice.

Wow another outstanding series from Stacey, she never fails to deliver, her books have well developed plots and engaging characters that hooked you right in and keep you hanging for more. Eva Kaminsky's narrative is brilliant as always.

Really good

Really enjoyed this. Great narration and interesting storyline. Ends on a cliffhanger but book 2 is available so you can jump right into that one.
Would recommend. Reminds me a little bit of six of crows maybe because of the location but it’s a good thing.

Best book in this category I’ve read in years! I rarely give a 5 star but damn!

I only rate maybe 1/20 books I read or listen to a 5 star, it actually annoys me that people give 5 stars so liberally because it makes it hard to find a book I’ll actually like, to me a 3 star is still okay and worth a read but this is by far the best book (in this fantasy genre) I’ve read in years, yes even better than court of thorns book 1 or cruel prince which are someone of my fav series in this genre, it’s such a complete book (it’s a slow burn so if you want insta fake love this isn’t for you I guess but it does it so so well), and we don’t even know for sure which direction it’s heading, hopefully it can keep up in book 2

This was honestly super enthralling from start to finish, the narrater was great with the character voices, and the ending damnit! I can’t wait the 20 days until the next one comes out

Wow

This was an amazing start to what is sure to be an exciting series! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! And I want Brexley and Warwick to get together so bad I can hardly stand it! I already purchased book 2…I have to know what happens next.

Wish I had looked up the genre first …

At the very end of this book, they mention this is a “paranormal romance”, and yep, that tracks. I wouldn’t have guessed it by the summary. If you’re not into romance like me, skip this one. It’s not even a great premise, tbh. And you can hear the readers between breaths which was a little irritationing. Not a fan.

Worth the credit!

Please don't change the narrator for the next book! Eva Kaminsky is perfect for this series. If you're trying to decide on this book, let me tell you it's worth it. I'm waiting for the next one (9 days left to wait),

I couldn't stop listening!

Awesome storyline. Great narrator. I can't wait to start second book.
This wasn't a typical ending that I saw coming. I was feeling her shock.

Overall loved. Brexley takes a bit to love

people were not kidding when i kept seeing "sexual tension"... and heck yes it was a killer.

Narration is done by a female only, but dang i gotta say she does soooo good. Her version Wick is hot hot hot.

Key words: Fantasy, Fae, Shifters, prison break, Not insta love but possibly fated mates, romance, competitions to the death

Just what I needed!

It's been too long since a book met all my needs; strong plot, character development, sexy times, and an interesting world!

Tiktok strikes again

I saw a random video saying to read this and when I saw the narrator… I knew I had no choice. Loved it and the narration was top notch as well.

There was so much potential…

This really could have been and amazing book. The basis of the story would have been a great one to tell, however, the execution was poor. The author fell into predictable tropes – I’m not like other girls or insta-love without merit. Not everyone needs to be sexually attracted or in love with the main character.

I like spicy books and can over look many of their fault- but this one... OMG. The “spicy bits” happened at odd or uncomfortable times and it left a sour taste in my mouth.

I’m upset that i wasted a credit on this.
