Slice of life mage that's very powerful but..

It's a slice of life with alit of world building and detail which I like. The main guy could've been so much more but I found him simple and easily manoeuvred by other characters to get the story rolling faster and that I think is the main problem with the book. It's rushed in story wise and possible story tracks are just down right forgotten so it's stays on the main story line not flushing it out much nor give characters to grow and enjoy that growth. it's just skipped. could've been 3 to 5 books honestly. so great performance alright story that just could've been so much more.

Interesting and engaging

This was a good first book in a new and different series. A good concept and good world and character building and progression. The male narrator did a really good job and varied his characters well but the female narrator could have been much better. Sounded like she recorded it in a confined space and had a hollow sound to her voice and was impossible to tell the female characters apart by voice. Overall a very enjoyable listen and will be getting the next audiobook.
