A perfect ending

I'm so glad I waited till I had all four books before I began reading this series. It would have been torture otherwise. The ups and downs the characters faced were delightful and hard all at the same time. The narration was so good Elena Wolfe was Celia in every way. Shane East bought his pzazz to Edward and totally embodied the character. The ending though with the reconciliation was Hudson Pierce rounded off the story entirely. It bought Celia that much needed peace and acceptance she always strived for.

Absolutely Fantastic!!!

Let me just say, to own the Slay series on audible is so worth the money and hours I was plugged in and listened to the most fantastic series of Laurelin Paige I have ever listened to. The story is complete, fully fleshed out, so very interesting, and the narrators were perfect and brought everything to my attention and held me mesmerized from the first word to last. If you have found Hudson and Celia fascinating from previous stories then you definitely need the Slay series to give you completion. So kudos Laurelin this series went over the top!

Business dealings

Not enough of the characters past explained until the end. I don't like the week wife who let's her husband control much of her life at home with him.

Really good like book one. Throw book 3 out.

I wish there could have been more peace for Celia as far as Hudson’s wife. And I wish Celia would have bitch slapped her.

I loved all of the books in this quartet, and Elena Wolfe and Shane East did an amazing job narrating. I very much enjoyed the conclusion to this story.

Absolutely great listen! 😍😍😍😍

I waited to provide a review until I listened to all four. I have to say it was just simply an intriguing, tantalizing, hot, thrilling, sad, happy, glad, mad listen ever! It was everything and I didn't want it to stop. I absolutely loved a strong heroine that was a perfect match for this incredibly complex hero, Edward. I was conflicted with Edward's tendencies, but he owned them and I respected that but, like Celia , I would have fought him to the tee too. They found a happy medium and I loved how the story unfolded to it's ending. The narrators' performances were absolutely brilliant!!!👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 And may I emphasize Shane East's performance had me swooning and feeling all kinds of ways. 🔥🔥🔥It was just wonderful Laurelin and I highly recommend everyone listen. You will not be disappointed.

Shane East was EV-ER-RY THING!

I absolutely LOVED Shane East in this!! When he cried as Madge... I SWOONED! This was a great ending to this series. This happened to be my first Laurelin series, but I'll definitely be reading the series that both precede and proceed this 1! Glad i found her!

Rising

Wow, I dont even know where to begin. I suppose with the standing ovation that they deserve 👏👏👏 This series had me running the gamut of thoughts, opinions and emotions throughout all 4 books. Each one pulled at my heart and ripped me apart then put me back together... much like the characters themselves. Each book pushed and pulled at me. The narrators were fantastic as always, and even though this is the first books I've read of Larielin Paige, they definitely won't be the last!

Very satisfying conclusion

For me, the narration above all else can make or break an audiobook. The narration by Wolfe and York is superb here. They hit the emotional notes perfectly, never going overly dramatic or too flat with their vocal interpretations. The sex scenes are steamy and hot, and at turns tender and kinky. I appreciated the author’s unusual take on a D/s relationship: it’s more psychological than physical (though it still has enough of the typical features, such as spankings, to my delight). I was VERY turned on by the back and forth, push and pull power dynamic between Celia and Edward. I especially loved the times (in this and the previous books) when Celia followed through with walking away from Edward or rejecting him when she needed to assert herself. This gives the story real stakes. Nothing ruins an erotic story more than when the heroine claims to be justifiably angry with her love interest, threatens to leave or not sleep with him, but then acts like a doormat because she can’t resist his huge cock. There is some of this in the series, but the author doesn’t overuse it. For some reason, many romance authors repeatedly overuse this tired device (“My body can’t ever resist this alpha male no matter how badly he treats me”) under the misguided assumption that it adds sexual titillation. In reality, it reads as trite, tired, and boring. It ends up undercutting their supposedly “feisty” heroine’s character. Kudos to Laurelin Paige for avoiding overuse of this cliché. Instead she created an interesting, complicated heroine whose arc unfolds in engaging ways over the four books. The overall dramatic narrative, plot, and character development are well done for the genre. Unlike a lot of erotica, the prose here isn’t too overwrought and rarely elicited cringes or eye rolls out of me. If you’re looking for a mildly dark erotic series with plenty of hot sex scenes (especially in Books 2-4) and a satisfying HEA, I highly recommend this one.

Good conclusion VG series.

Heard episode 1 as part of a bundle all of which led to further episodes. This story very good with good characters and a strong if at times very dark storyline but compelling with the first 3 ending on cliff hangers. The story tellers both have voices that fit into the natation.

a brilliant end!

Laurelin has hit the nail on the head with this perfect ending to the slay series. gutted that it's the end to the fixed saga. I've read or listened to all of the Stories and Novellas from Laynie and Hudson, Celia and Edward, Chandler and Genevieve, Gwen and JC to Patricia and Nate. All have been superb!

the ending

When one of your all time favorit book series is at an end and the last book comes out. It is with so many mixed feelings, that you start reading. You really want to get that ending. But at the same time. You dont want to say goodbye. What Shane and Elena did for this series, only made it that much better. They made Celia and Edward come alive. Shane have just the right amount of asshole-ishnes in his voice to make him sound like a sophisticated British hot arrogant powerful gentleman. I am not ready to say goodbye to Celia and Edward. I think this is one of those series that will stay with me forever. Celia, Whom i was not ready to fall this hard in love with, when i started reading the first book. Showed some strength and power in this book. She didnt let Edward take all the control. But showed how strong a fighter she is. How powerful she is, when she have something to fight for. And she finally gets to show both Edward and finally Hudson how deep her love runs, and how much she has changed after meeting Edward. And finally finally finally we got to se the other POV of both Chandlers book and Fixed forever`. Its like we finally came full circle, not just for Edward and Celia, But also Hudson and Alayna, and Chandler and Genevieve. This book just shows why Laurelin is my favorit auther. she is simpty the best ever.
