They lost the war once. They’re not letting it happen again.

The end of the world wasn’t fire and brimstone—it was guild wars, mutated monsters, collapsing kingdoms, and rifts to realms that should never have been opened. Len and Rick fought through all of it. They watched Harmonia fall. They buried their friends.

Now, they’ve been sent back—130 years before the collapse.

No stats. No skills. No allies.

Just two combat vets with tactical minds, brutal experience, and the complete knowledge of how the world ends.

Mana is only just starting to spread. Nations are still whole. The system is initializing.

Now is the time to prepare for what lays ahead, to build a foundation.
They aren’t here to survive. They’re here to win.

It's time to Restart the Apocalypse....

Restarting the Apocalypse is a gritty, high-stakes Regressor, LitRPG progression fantasy from international bestseller Michael Chatfield.

Expect deep crafting, tactical combat, earned power, and a system that punishes weakness. No cheats. No plot armor. Just two men fighting to rewrite the end of the world.

First off, love the chemistry of the two characters in the start of the book. The narrator smashing it out of the park there too. As for the flaws it mostly came down to slightly too information dense fights coming slightly too quickly. Same thing with some abrupt changes in topic that breaks the flow of a few scenes. though is otherwise eone well. The narration was a bit fast at times for my preference and i missed a few small details, but did a good job with making a wide range of characters come to life.
I am interested in book 2 so will have to wait for that to see if this is a series worth following.

Generally good, a few flaws.

I'm afraid this is going to be just a clone of the ten realms, hopefully it doesn't turn just as bad halfway through. Overall very similar books, main characters feel almost identical to me. (Obviously different names/ backgrounds)

The first 8-9 hours were great but can't be bothered with the whole military leader thing. exact same reason I dropped his other series, it just gets too boring.

Really liked the narrator, never heard him before but definitely does a good job.

really did like the start and the narrator

There are many horrible books with ratings far higher than this. All the criticisms are fair but if you want a simple, action packed no brains required read, this is fun. Has some pacing issues and yes is very similar to his other series but I bought it for $4.50 a book on special so who cares.

Not as bad as it’s rating may suggest.

Rather long and boring story with repeated power statistics that were interminable, the tone of the story seemed like a lecture.
