Refreshingly down to earth and relatable.

I started this book with low expectations as it's not the typical SFF thing I read. But the story was supprisingly good and engaging the whole way through.
There was something very relatable about the main character, maybe it was because I grew up in the time that the story is set, or maybe it's because the main character uses the experience to stive for something better. It just seems so real and relatable. I love books where the characters motives, goals and internal struggles are written as if it was someone I could relate to, and this definitly hit the mark.
I would reccomend anyone give this book a go, regardless of what genre you are into, you won't be dissapointed.
