This was a fun and enjoyable read. Nothing felt like a slog, it was easy to follow and left me wanting more. One of those books you just know you will pick up and read again. Romance - yes, but this is not a spicy book. I liked the magic system and the political dynamics of characters. The performance is brilliant she really makes the characters come to life.

The authors note at the end is a fun insight to the processes she took while assembling this masterpiece as a gardener style writer, and allowing the story to shape itself.

I have read and re-read this story over and over again many times. Mostly when I'm feeling down or anxious and it never fails to draw me in and consume me with its beautiful narrative and love story that spans itself throughout yelena's storyline. I hold this series close to my heart and will cherish it always. I was thrilled to have a new way to experience the lives of my favourite characters in audiobook form. thankyou for this experience.
