Publisher's Summary

Janey is 18 and living in a small flat with her baby daughter. Just as her new life starts to show promise, her past catches up with her.

Nicole is renting one of the new luxury flats. She’s just walked away from her husband and teenage sons, tired of being treated as a servant, suspecting her husband of having an affair.

Winifred has lived in her large family home for over 80 years but it’s all getting too much, though she doesn’t want to leave.

Things are not what they seem, and danger can strike both rich and poor. The trick is to survive it, and for this you need good friends and courage: all freely available in Peppercorn Street.

great book would recommend

I love the narrators voice and all the accents she can manage and picked this book for that reason. The story was great and I enjoyed the characters, with the exception on one. Nicole. She was basically very selfish. Her 15 year old was talking less; her husband had a personality transplant and her 17 year old is showing signs of violence so she leaves home. doesn't bother to find out WHY any of those things were happening and just leaves them to it. All because they wouldn't do the dishes! There were other things that annoyed me about her but don't want to spoil the story for anyone. Give this book a go, it's great.

Well worth listening to.

Narration excellent. Jacobs writes an excellent book every time. The story lines crossed but came together well at the end. I am looking forward to the next book.

Good story and narration

I am always glad to find a good story without graphic scenes or crude language. The narrator did a good job also. Just right, not over the top .

Brillant

What made the experience of listening to Peppercorn Street the most enjoyable?

Impelling story. Did not want to stop listening. Kept you wondering.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Janey but there was so many others it was diffcult to chose as each character had a good story line.

What about Penelope Freeman’s performance did you like?

Very good to listen to. Did not rush the reading.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Hard to pick as there was so many and I would not like to give anything away.

Any additional comments?

A MUST Listen.

Feel Good Feeling.

Whatever books, I have read by this author leave me with a sense of good over evil. Her characters and stories at time leave mewith a good feel factor. This is a must read book, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do?

What a load of rubbish!

Absolute rubbish. The writer must have been writing this whilst wearing rose tinted glasses!
Waste of good time listening to it, and will never get another book by this author!
