Medical research has shown that pain resides in both the body and the mind, and that how you focus your attention and awareness can make all the difference. With Pain Relief, Shinzen Young teaches listeners how to step outside of pain through traditional meditation practices. Drawing from 20 years of results in the field, this widely respected teacher offers a practical program to address both chronic and short-term pain, possibly reducing the need for drugs or surgery. Step-by-step techniques taught in plain language show how to overcome internal resistance, the key to transforming physical pain into a flow of pure energy. Includes four guided practices that listeners can use anywhere.

Great for healing mind-body connection

This audio guide is a great exploration of different aspects of pain and how it interacts with our emotions and thoughts. It helped me to understand and unearth repressed emotions causing a lot of physical discomfort and pain. Now I finally know how to work with them.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Audible Australia acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
