Clear sighted investigative journalism
A thoroughly researched book that brings historical context, first person sources and extensive on-the-ground reporting to what had been one of the most horrific things to happen in the Middle East, an event which many continue to misapprehend. Murray states his position with clarity and conviction. His book is a testament to upholding democratic values and life.

A must read for all in the West (before it’s too late!)
Although this book delves into the atrocities committed by Hamas, it is also full of hope showing how good people can stand up in the face of adversity.

Possibly the most important work of the decade. Douglas reveals the truth in its brutality and beauty. it will move you to tears, anger and hope. This book needs to be compulsory. No one speaking about the conflict should do so without reading this book first. Then maybe I will listen to what they have to say. Devastating would be an understatement
