"إيزيس كوبيا" فهو الاسم المستعار الذي وضعته مي زيادة على غلاف ديوانها الأول "أزاهير حلم" والذي كتبته بالإنكليزية وصدر في القاهرة في مارس عام 1911، ليكون أول أعمالها الأدبية، ولكن باسم مستعار، قبل أن تبدأ في تقديم أعمالها باسم مي زيادة.

ومن هنا جاء اسم هذه الرواية والتي تبدو كعنوان طويل لحكاية مريرة يرويها "واسيني الأعرج" عن الفصل الأخير في حياة مي زيادة، التي لقبوها بملكة دولة الإلهام، وفريدة العصر، ونادرة الدهر، إلى آخر ما منحوها من ألقاب لكن من منحته قلبها ولجأت إليه في محنتها استغل ثقتها وحصل منها على توكيل لإدارة أملاكها، واستدرجها من القاهرة إلى بيروت متهمًا إياها بالجنون ليتم إيداعها في مستشفى للأمراض العقلية في لبنان!!

في العقد الأخير من حياة مي لم تنشر كتبا، لكن هذه الرواية تفترض أن لها مخطوطات مفقودة، وتنطلق من رحلة البحث عنها، لتشكل مخطوطاتها التي سجلت فيها أحداث أيامها في المصح العقلي متن الرواية.

حكاياتٌ كثيرة تكشف فيها مخطوطات "مي زيادة" ليس فقط عن تاريخها الشخصي لكن عن حقائق لاذعة ومؤلمة وكان نشرها مغامرةً كبير!!
