Publisher's Summary

Over the course of several years, I paraphrased the original English text (Long 1862) into a simplified and easy to absorb version I call Meditations Made Simple. The Narrator of this audiobook makes it a joy to listen to.

My favorite version of Meditations!

This audio version of Meditations is my favorite. It’s the easiest to absorb, and the narrator matches the content. It feels like Marcus Aurelius is reading it to me. Nice job!

Life changing

The ideas in this book, written 2,000 years ago, ring true as if they were written yesterday. Simply stated and understandable Marcus Aurelius presents ideas that can be applied to our everyday life. Not a feel good book full of affirmations, but rather a practical guide to deal with real life events and personal struggles. It has changed my way of viewing things I thought I had already figured out.

Relief for my anxious mind.

Good and relaxing way to put life into perspective. I listened twice back to back.

Good for perspective; no issues with performance

As expected, some ideas felt antiquated and/or lacking information we have now. That aside, I still felt this was great at provoking thought, shifting my focus, and giving new perspective.

awesome

Translation is awesome. Much better than George Long’s cryptic text. Voice is awesome. I checked one by one all other (close to 30) audiobooks on Meditations and this one is the best. If someone says otherwise, he doesn’t understand (or russian troll).
