About this listen
Additionally, there was a period when our culture didn't even consider weight loss; instead, individuals went to work after eating what their mothers had prepared for supper. They worked on their feet in the fields or on the floor of a warehouse, not behind a computer screen, which is how that culture differs from the one we live in now. Because that was the only way to work—in fact, that's why it was called "work"—people worked physically! Because they were burning many more calories than they were consuming, folks were often able to eat everything they wanted during this period.
