This book ... I am at a loss for words because it was just that good!! Considering this is book #27 in the Masters and Mercenaries series (and really #47 once you include the spin-offs and novellas), I wasn't expecting it to feel so new and fresh - and yet it is absolutely amazing!! This is the first book that has the kids we have watched grow up in the previous books taking centre stage. First up is Tasha and what an incredible young woman she has grown up to be. Her love interest, Darren "Dare" Nash, is a man who sweeps her off her feet one minute and then becomes the target of her investigation with her team the next. The amount of call backs to the OG M&M characters was soooooooo good and then all the hints dropped about the other characters and their potential books and issues .... it has be super excited for this next instalment series. And for the continuation of the M&M world!!

Ryan West is the M&M world and he brings the younger generation to life perfectly. Love his voice and his performance of this story. Can't wait for the next one!

Lexi knows how to write a love story, even when surrounded in mystery intrigue. Love that the love story is stronger than the mystery and intrigue. Just love this family blood and non blood. Amazing.
