Why does it feel so natural to be compassionate and kind to those we care about - yet so hard to treat ourselves the same way? "We need to re-learn the essential skill of being genuinely nurturing and supportive toward ourselves."

When you let go, you live intuitively. Everything flows, because you are no longer attached to things being a certain way, to being a certain person or always being right. What a relief. The irony is that when you feel stuck in any area of your life - career, relationships, purpose, health or money - letting go can seem very hard. You cling on for dear life just at the moment you need to take the leap. In The Power of Letting Go, John Purkiss explains why we should let go and how we can do it, using proven techniques to make things happen.

What Is the Real Secret of Obtaining Desirable Possessions? Are some people born under a lucky star or other charm which enables them to have all that which seems so desirable, and if not, what is the cause of the difference in conditions under which men live? Many years ago, feeling there must be a logical answer to this question, I decided to find out, if possible, what it was.

Story
As it was in Anna Karenina, Madame Bovary, and Othello, so it is in life. Most forms of private vice and public evil are kindled and sustained by lies. Acts of adultery and other personal betrayals, financial fraud, government corruption - even murder and genocide - generally require an additional moral defect: a willingness to lie. In Lying, bestselling author and neuroscientist Sam Harris argues that we can radically simplify our lives and improve society by merely telling the truth in situations where others often lie.

packs a huge punch in a short book

Publisher's Summary
The best-selling self-published phenomenon addressing our urgent need for self-love in the world today. Now expanded with new listener-oriented lessons and a powerful and transformative personal story of the practice in action.
Kamal Ravikant knows misery well. In 2011, the company Kamal had spent the last 10 years of his life nurturing and growing suddenly and embarrassingly went under. He experienced a profound depression, the kind that made him physically ill and bedridden. The only source of light in this darkest moment was a meditation, a chant that came to him and provided the only source of comfort he could muster: I love myself.
Kamal began his transformational journey by repeating this over and over to himself. I love myself. I love myself. I love myself. Even when he didn’t believe it (especially when he didn’t believe it). This meditation grew in the form of a system of tools for keeping him positive, balanced and moving forward. Kamal’s spiritual healing changed his physical and emotional states, and his entire person shifted for the better.
Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It is the powerful story of Kamal’s radical self-growth journey and his specific practice for listeners. Dynamic, vulnerable and ultimately life-changing, this book holds a universal appeal for anyone who has ever struggled to get out of bed in the morning or smile through profound sadness.

Very helpful and easy to digest
It starts a bit slow but it ends up being a thought provoking, insightful compendium of stories and teachings that translate to anyone’s life.
Armed with radiant vibe to lift your mood while you’re reading it, and well tested lessons and tips to improve your outlook and perspective in the long term, this book is a little gem that should be read as many times as necessary to ensure its spirit and ideologies stick with the reader and thus improve their lives.
Don’t expect to magically improve upon reading it, as Kamal implies, change has to come from within, but nevertheless he has given you the tools through his book to allow the change to be long lasting and profound.

Raw and real
Absolutely loved this.
Such a raw and real life lived experience.
So many feeling and emotions throughout the whole book.
Nothing is more beautiful than showing our vulnerabilities yet we run away from them.
Why? Embrace them even when it hurts.
Easier said then done of coarse given we are ego driven beings
I will definitely listen to this again.

Best I’ve heard on how to rise from low self-esteem
I’ve read and listened to hundreds of self-help books which often don’t motivate nor inspire me. However this was truly inspirational!! It’s not the same old self help stuff for low self esteem regurgitated. I found so much value in the audio book that I’ve ordered the hard copy version and the 30 day challenge. What a gift, to yourself.
For most of us, loving comes easy. We love our kids, our family, our pets, our friends, sport or jobs. What is incredibly difficult is to truly love ourselves.
There are a lot of ‘self help’ books available on this topic, but none has captured the true essence of this practice, the how and why, like this. The authenticity, vulnerability, rawness and truth far outweighs the practicality of the guide. Thank you for this gift, and thank you to those who steered me to find this book. Big ❤️
