Whilst mostly affirming knowledge I’ve acquired over the last few years simply by giving some new insights, this book is a well constructed, researched and presented low-down on how those on the ‘Western Diet’ got to suffer chronic, non communicable ‘Western Diseases’ and what to do about it.
The book suggestions are also spot-on. I loaded up at least 4 of them.
I thoroughly enjoyed every minute.

It's amazing some of the continued non-truths we have, and continue to be told, about our health and wellbeing. I think we know about 10% of the full amount of knowledge we can know about nutrition and the human body, but $$ are stopping the world from acknowledging the mistakes of the past and moving forward.

My only suggesting is to label the chapters in Audible, as these don't align with the book chapters and becomes confusing. Plus, I want to go back and revisit certain chapters relevant to me and read them again, so it would be easier to see exactly what chapter I'm clicking on.

I was brought to this book by my IF journey into good health and researching all about our macros etc...I enjoyed this book thoroughly and the author has done a great job in outlining how we have been lied to all these years by our so called experts. In fact, there has been so many lies over the years, by the end of the book I was starting to think "is this author a paranoid schizo"? The one lie I had big trouble swallowing was the - Fibre is necessary for a health gut and the amount of fat he has in his diet and remains at a normal weight. Luckily I was watching the reality show "Alone" at the same time. I was fascinated that some these contestants were eating lots of protein, moderate carbs, yet still could not could keep their weight up. More importantly, the emphasis they put on including fat in their diet and how listless they felt without it. So I have experimented on myself recently. Included much more fat in my diet, reduced the fibre and protein and I have lost weight, Well...my....my....my as Lt Joe Kenda would say! I resolved the constant fatigue and intermittent constipation I could not explain as I was getting more than adequate 'fibre" and felt more energetic than I have in years. Narrator was a bit flat but that didnt distract from the book any.

Very much eye opening content. Thank you Dr. Berry for doing extensive research on medical issues. I also recommend to follow Dr. Berry on social media. He has tons of information there all about health and wellness.

i found this really easy to get through the whole thing. The author is funny, intelligent, with a healthy scepticism. i learned alot, and took away a sense of renewed confidence in my own health, with a focus on the importance of following my own intuition on my body and not blindly following the so-called experts. highly recommended reading for all.
