Publisher's Summary

Section K Replication Alluthan Clone, or Krac as he is now called, has one focus in his life: protect the descendants of the Freedom Five who rule Earth's council. Things become personal when insurgents target a special member of the Freedom Five, Gracie Jones-Jefe and her family. When Violet Jefe is kidnapped, Krac swears to do everything he can to bring the precocious little girl, who is the image of her mother, home safely and kill those who took her.

Captain "Skeeter" Lulu Belle Mann lives a life of freedom drifting from spaceport to spaceport in her short-haul freighter looking for unusual treasures to add to her collection of mismatched prizes. On the Pyrus space station, she finds two treasures she has to have! One is the new navigation module she desperately needs, and the other is a curly haired little girl with big green eyes that melts her heart. Never one to be denied what she really wants, Skeeter buys the first and steals the second.

When sources lead Krac to the Lulu Belle, he finds more than he expects - a woman who fires his blood almost as much as she draws it. Krac's hands and life are suddenly overflowing; he has to capture the woman who is driving him crazy, protect little Violet, and keep them alive long enough to deliver one home and the other to his bed. But someone else has targeted Skeeter and the Lulu Belle, and they are just as deadly as Krac. Can he protect the feisty firebrand that has captured his heart, or will he lose the only thing he has ever cared about to another of his kind?

I had forgotten how good this book is.

I had forgotten how good this book is and listening in audible really was a great pleasure. Now I need to await the next book when it is written. Narration is enjoyable. BOOK REVIEW This series is really getting interesting now. Lots of things are happening. New factors and factions are being found out, all with the aim of bringing chaos to the confederation. I love how Krac reacted to Lulu Belle, it was lovely and so sweet. Lulu Belle or Skeeter is like Calamity Jane. She is the funniest klutz in the solar system, has no idea of the carnage left in her wake but it always comes out to be a blessing. Her fainting at the tiniest bit of blood was so funny bearing in mind Krac is THE ASSASIN. Skeeter’s love of her adopted father was just so wonderful, showing how we should see beneath the exterior of someone. Another wonderful story by Ms Smith that I can read again and again.

Captivating

Once again Smith has left me wanting more and in the edge of my seat. I love that the women have their own minds, that the men are strong but consider their women and that none of them are perfect. Can't wait for her to write the next installment!!!

Great series!

I have really enjoyed the first two books of this series. Lots of action, humor and romance. I can’t seem to find a book 3 so I really hope you finish the series SE Smith!

more please!

I love this series and want more of the story! There is a H.E.A. and it does finish up well but there is a type of cliff hanger where you just want more of the series storyline. I suggest start with book one, which is amazing, and read in order as published! I am sure the third is in the making but I can happily read 'Dusten', book five in another series she has going, which is awesome! the narrator is the best and I am so glad he is being used by her books! His voice is truly an actor's gift that I am happily noticing more often in the audible book area! I sure hope as time goes on, there are more great story tellers voices who join this artistic medium!

Beautifully read Sci-fi romance

David Brennan did a fabulous job narrating this wonderful sci-fi romance by S E Smith. Listening to the story brings additional enjoyment of the book than reading it alone does. Beautifully done.

4 Krac's Firebrand Stars

I enjoyed this book, not as good as book 1 but I did like getting to see Krac get his HEA.

Skeeter is just the one to take one Krac, she sees what other do not. And she sees who and what Krac is and that he needs someone who sees him for the man he is.

I loved that Skeeter got to speak to her father and tell her what she really wanted.
And that her father listened without judgment. I loved this!!

We did get Gracie and Kordon too so that was a bonus <3

Loved the narration <3

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Inner beauty

This narrator continues to impress me everytime I hear him.
I loved the story. I wish that there was just a little bit more but I guess I will have to wait until the next book comes out. I have read several of this author's books and I love the fact that some of the other aliens are mentioned. It makes it feel like they all could be one big happy family.
When Krac was rescued he swore that he would defend the Freedom Five families. So when Gracie Jones daughter Violet was kidnapped, he swore that he would do whatever it took to return the little girl.
While on this mission he has discovered a plot by someone to get Gracie because of her knowledge of the Alluthians. He finds Violet but she isn't with her original kidnappers.
Lulu Belle AKA Skeeter found the little girl and took her on board her ship. Skeeter in a very clumsy human who accidentally causes trouble where ever she goes.
Travel along with Krac and Skeeter as they track down more information on the Mastermind behind all of the trouble. They also discover that Krac is not the only one of his kind that survived

Great fun!

Laugh out loud funny, sweet and sometimes sad, this is a wonderful story. Far from the too-perfect Gracie, in the previous book in this series, Skeeter is delightfully imperfect. Krac's befuddlement with her is hilarious and sweet by turns. The relationship between them makes a surprising amount of sense, despite their very different characters, as they both find the acceptance they need. The moments of sadness mix smoothly with the humour, giving the story greater depth. The narration is generally good, although the sex scenes sometimes made me wince!
