I had to switch to Kindle. her "voice acting" as the king was so bad I couldn't listen any longer. not only was it mumbly and hard to understand but the difference in how loud each "character" talked made it impossible to listen to it at a good volume.

the volume difference between voice actors was ridiculous but also the females interpretation of the MMC was cringy as hell. I DNF'd hard

This book was my very first DNF, calling it quits at chapter 7. I usually push through when I’m not feeling it and it pays off but this one I just couldn’t.
The narrating was very quiet especially when imitating the male character, so much so that I couldn’t hear it through my AirPods at work with my volume all the way up!
The rest of this review is just personal opinion/preference, I’m not a fan of a slow burn and love smut, but definitely didn’t expect to have them being physical by chapter 6 😂 it was kind of off putting as it killed the build up and story line

I stumbled over this book, having never heard of it before, I decided to give it a go. It’s reaaallly well written and the story was actually interesting. I will likely go and see if this author has any other books, as I thoroughly enjoyed it in a whole. It is a very dark read however, and wouldn’t recommend to people who have suffered child loss or been victims of sexual assault or domestic violence.

Stumbled across this book and wasn't sure about purchasing it but after reading some positive reviews I bit the bullet -so glad i did ! Dark with major trigger warnings so please don't go in blind - But i really enjoyed- Narration was great !!-its so different to what i would normally read, it makes me question why i liked it so much- but I loved it. Finishes on a cliff hanger getting next book now
