About this listen

More is going on in the hospital compound than meets the eye. Tension is high as the Jungle Doctor performs some delicate and dangerous operations. The troublemaker, Woga, keeps making threats. And to make matters worse, there is a killer lion on the prowl. What can a little boy with a twisted face, a crooked back and a smiling dog teach them about courage? Another thrilling adventure from Paul White based in Mvumi hospital, Tanzania.

I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness with which narrator Paul Michael rendered the Australian and African accents for this tale. My 10 year old and I enjoyed listening to this story on a car trip.
It is a tale of the work and life of Mvumi mission hospital in Tanzania, with a wonderful cast of characters. Physical bodies are healed by the medical work and souls are made straight by the application of the gospel. The author Paul White creates wonderful and memorable word pictures and parables to explain both medical work and the truth of the bible. I would love to have many more of Paul White's stories made available on Audible, especially when the production is of such good quality.

A great story well-read
