Publisher's Summary

Climb the Tower. Feed the Town.

Blackmoor Cove has been pulled back from the edge of oblivion, but that doesn’t mean the fight is over. While the all-consuming Corruption pushes harder against their progress, Jack embraces his new responsibility to rebuild the broken people around him. However, none of it will last unless he enters the Tower every morning and defeats the vicious monsters within for their valuable loot drops.

With the Arcane Mage, Thymus, now in the party, they will climb higher than ever before, but will the 12 years of terrible isolation make the time-lost Hero unreliable when he once again confronts the unending nightmares found inside the Tower?

This “Crunchy” GameLIT/LitRPG story contains: item-based game mechanics, town building, countless unique monsters, boss fights, and cheaty special abilities.

The only thing the Jack is cheating is....

The only thing the Jack is cheating is the quality of the book with these easy upgrades.

For all the effort going into making the levels diverse there is little conversion into town functionallity. Adding something like a battlefield mode against the corruption and assigning a point value to the mobs, with buying battlefield points being like a 10 to 1 conversion or something.

The skill combinations are so obvious that its mind numbing, just stack the sharpen skill on jacks sword and then pet the compound atk damage pile up then omni attack a weak point with double strike, if not just sharpen every sword before you fed it to the Ai to get more value.

The book only really introduces 1 hero character and some villagers while playing matchmaker with jack appearing at key moments like he is playing god. While the ending is forced conflict- with the introduction of new mechanics like battlefields it couldnbe interesting, ill reserve my opinion.
