New step-dad here
This year I became a step-dad, and it has been the most rewarding and occasionally infuriating experience. This talkshow/podcast has given me plenty of tips and strategies for being a better dad, and I look forward to implementing them in our lives.
A few episodes start weak, but all of them finish strong and are supported by scientific evidence and a wide range of experts (real experts with experience and academic research, not pseudo-scientists).
If you want to be a better father, listen to this show. I highly encourage you to listen to episode 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10.

A good balanced view
Only able to find the last 3 episodes, I especially enjoyed the talks on porn and mobile phone. A well balanced view with nice personal touches.

Humbling, interesting, thought provoking
I really enjoy this podcast style narrative of so many different topics, some taboo, some not, some I'd never thought about.
It's interesting to see how others think and how they try and shelter their kids from the past, which I see as a way to doom them to repeat it.

Very”American”
Too “ ok, lie down here on the therapists couch”. Some wisdom in there but way too much babble to get to it.

Binged it
This was a random pick. Had no recommendation or knowledge of it. Delivery was warm, sincere, with a touch of humour. Felt like a conversation with a friend. The content was not at all preachy, it was an exploration. The speaker often referred to their audience as the fathers but definitely applicable and thought provoking for any form of parent. As my kids grow, I think I will come back to this podcast again and again to gain inspiration and insight on what kind of conversations and decision will be made.

great practical advice
for dads by dads, but accessible/relatable by mum's. the first episode was a huge "oh yeah" moment for me and the rest have been insightful and i can see strategies being used in my future years to come.

Absolutely spot on
Every episode was utterly engrossing, true and funny. I'm a dad of a two year old daughter and the stuff on sex, on screens, on anxiety on being a father, on roles of masculinity in 'traditional' families, and on just being there, around, as a dad. This is all stuff i've thought about to myself but never dreamed I could hear other people describe. There is a bizarre code of secrecy when it comes to Dads sharing this sort of thing, and this series absolutely brings it out. The team should be commended for making such a thoughtful and entertaining podcast.

Irreverent and Hilarious - A Must for Modern Dads!
This is a brilliant podcast for modern Dads. You may not relate with all of the topics but it is likely you will with the majority. Stephen is brutally honest about the trial and tribulations he has faced in Fatherhood and there are frank discussions with experts and other parents who have dealt with similar issues. All in all a very valuable use of your time for all parents. Thoroughly recommended.

Great listen for any parent
I didn't realise this was aimed at men and so the first few minutes of the first show nearly had me reaching for the delete button. But I was intrigued so carried on listening. I am so glad I did because this is a great series. Funny and honest, the show takes you through topics such as pot and pornography and answers those questions you probably didn't know you wanted answers to. The episode about choosing a name got me thinking for hours afterwards and spurred many a conversation amongst my social groups. I found the topics really made me engage on a basic level and then the seed of thought carried on growing for ages afterwards. Not life-changing but a definite must listen.

Lost in translation
I downloaded this as a free item for a bit of light relief.
From a UK perspective a lot of what is discussed is lost on me. There’s a chapter on choosing the right name for your child for example, where the couple are so incapable of choosing a name they employ a baby naming consultant. Considered pretentious here.
Another chapter, my dad the porn star really doesn’t apply to many fathers does it?
I found it all rather American appropriate than generic to fathers everywhere. Gained nothing from listening to it.

Good 👍
I found a few of these topics quite relevant. Good listen and execution. some lacked specific relevance such as racist books or porn but I assume it will become more relevant later on

Struggle to listen to it, can’t finish this book
Struggle to carry on with the idea , can’t finish to listen, can understand the struggle for dad but this is not helping with how to bring a better dad.
This is not a book to help you to become a better dad , this is just a book that humiliate and makes the situation a joke.
