Publisher's Summary

Travis Thompson’s past haunts him. When an assignment went bad, fate was a cruel beast and took the man he thought he’d spend forever with. Now he has to live with the guilt that he couldn’t save the man he loved. A year later, when their team loses another member, he’s finished and knows it’s time to move on. But where does that leave him?

Alejandro Lopez has been hardened by life. He lost his family because of who he is, and he’s never fully been able to accept that. He’s used that resentment toward his parents to ensure he’s succeeded at everything he’s done since. But the only thing he’s failed at is love. He can’t seem to get that right.

Can a man with guilt that runs so deep it shuts him down at times ever let another in? Can a man that can’t quite let someone in for fear of rejection be the one to heal him?

Healing My Amor is the sixth book in the Sulfur Springs series. This is a Men of Crooked Bend spin-off and takes you off of the ranch and into the lives of those in Sulfur Springs. While each book will focus on a different couple, you should listen to them in order for the most enjoyment. Each book contains sexually explicit material between two men and is intended for adults over 18.

Fantastic

This story is low angst but still all the feels. And you really can’t get any better than a Michael Dean narration.

Great Addition to Sulfur Springs

This next installment of Sulfur Springs Series is one that definitely will pull at your heartstrings. Travis and Alejandro are both men that have been through some really tough things in their lives: Travis dealing with the guilt of an assignment that went bad, causing him to lose people close to him and Alejandro being rejected by his family. Both men find their way to Sulfur Springs, and when they meet, they can't deny the attraction! But can these two men find healing in each other, or will they allow their pasts to ruin what they come to have?
This book has to be one of my favorites of this series! Travis and Alejandro have just been so much that you can't help root for them to get their happily ever after! Plus their chemistry is so hot!!! These two seem absolutely perfect for each other!!
I love this entire series and the chance to get to look at our favorite characters from previous books and see what is new in their lives as well. It makes this entire series feel like a family!
Michael Dean is very quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators. He does such an amazing job bringing the characters of Sulfur Springs to life. It’s truly a joy to listen!!
This is one series not to miss!!

Only love can heal heartbreak

I love listening Sulfur Spring stories because they are different different, gritty and quite real at times. As a romance reader, I do love my stories with fluff and swoony romance but every once in a while, I like it real and authentic between my men.

Travis lost the man he love and he blamed himself for not being able to protect him. And after losing another member of his team, he knew he’s not cut out for this mental F up. And Alejandro has led a very difficult life. It hurts worst when your loving and supporting family doesn’t understand you and hurt you instead. Two hardened men with wounded, difficult pasts but they get each other. If only they stop being stubborn of being afraid of rejection and honestly start pursuing each other.

Probably the angstiest and the heaviest book in the entire series but I liked it because I thought it was something different and real. The MCs took a long time to get to know each other and date but I’m happy that they found each other to heal their past wounds. It was an enjoyable listening experience. I hope this isn’t the end of sulfur spring men because I definitely wanna see more of these lovable hunks.

Heart warming

Book 6 of Sulfur Springs saw Travis and Alejandro come together in a beautifully written slow burn / age gap romance. The pain and loss were so beautifully written and the love between these two were sweet and heart warming. Michael Dean was superb with his naration.

LOVED!

I love the entire Sulfur Springs series and couldn't wait to listen to Healing My Amor. Michael Dean drew me in from the very beginning and I didn't want to stop listening. He does an incredible job of bringing these characters to live and keeping the listener involved with the story.
Both Travis and Alejandro have a great deal of pain and heartache in their pasts. Their story will grab you by the heart and not let go. They are so good for each other, giving what each other needed to heal and move forward together. Their HEA is hard earned and so wonderful!

Lonely souls find healing, love and hope together!

Lonely and damaged souls find healing, love and hope together. The narration was good and easy to listen to.

This was a slow-burn, friends to lovers journey that will touch your heart.  Both men had loss in their past and they have to grow and heal to find their future.  Travis's loss is recent and devastating and it was beautiful to see him find himself and allow love to grow in his heart.  I definitely found myself crying several times as the past was brought to focus, but the journey made the love they found together all the more worthwhile. The story flowed and the characters were well done.  I liked the investigation that Marshall's were engaged in and how it has continued through a couple of the books.

Travis and Alejandro are special together and i love how Alejandro was willing to take friendship or more from Travis. When they do find their way to each other they are steamy with wonderful chemistry as they find love.

This is book six of the Sulfur Springs series and i have enjoyed each book so far.  This book can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Action and Romance

Healing My Armor is the sixth book in the Sulfur Springs series and it was kind of a wild ride with an over-the-top plot and characters. There was nothing based on reality in this book, so I’m just going to leave that part of the plot alone. I had a hard time suspending my disbelief because everything was just so B-movie Hollywood. However, the actually romance and character development between the main characters was really nice and enjoyable.

Great series

Have loved this series on Audio, but sadly I have now caught up and will have to continue by actually reading the books.

Travis has a lot of trauma in his past that he can't seem to get past, but then Alex comes into his life, but it's not enough to get past his hurt.
Great story and again I love this series.
A must read.

Giving love a chance

This 6th book in the Sulfur Springs series by Taylor Rylan grabbed me right from the start and it picks up after events from previous books, so it's best enjoyed if you read/listen to the series in order. Michael Dean is one of my favourite narrators, so it was a pleasure to listen to him bring all these diverse characters to life. There's some action, some adventure, and plenty of heartfelt moments. Highly recommended contemporary MM romance with some action and thrills to entertain.

Alex and Travis

The 6th book in this series is all about Travis and Alex. Travis was the one who helped Rhett after his abduction and Alex is the new agent in town to help with the case of the missing horses. Travis is suffering and Alex can see it in his eyes. He wants to help Travis but it takes a while before Travis lets him in. Travis was still so young when he found his first love and had to leave him behind in the jungle. His brother Jonathan takes over the security business from Rhett's fathers but decides he wants to do more and rescue abducted children. Then when his friend dies on one of these missions and Travis himself is seriously wounded, he decides he wants to do something else with his life. His cousin Daniel is in the same mindframe and together they come to Sulfur Springs and stay with Daniel's brother Colin and his husband Dalton. The circle of friends is tight and slowly Alex awakens feelings with Travis. But Travis needs to say goodbuy to his first love first before he can give into these new feelings he is starting to have for Alex. But Alex lets him know that he is there for him and will take whatever Travis can give him. It is a story of slow love and also of letting go of the past. They both fight their demons but in the end they fit so well together. There are no hidden secrecies in this book and it is narrated by the awsome Michael Dean. I love all the boys from Sulfur Springs but Alex and Travis is one of my favorites.

as great as the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook. I can't listen to an audiobook without knowing the book, that's not possible for me.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. Michael Dean is one of the 8 narrators (so far), I can listen without break and have no problems to follow. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening.
it's like a B

Wonderful, beautiful, emotional story

I absolutely loved the story of Travis and Alejandro! The story begins with a painful, emotional bang and then carries on from there. We finally get more on the horse theft story that ends up being so much more. I loved Travis and how honest he was about the roadlocks he faced and how accepting and patient Alejandro was. I also loved how strong Travis was in seeking assistance and therapy, and how very understanding his father and family were. For a while I found myself asking what was wrong with Jonathan that he didn't seem to care about the risk and pain he was putting his family and friends through, but the author provided a satisfactory explanation and closure to that story by the end. I can't wait for more on Kirk and Daniel!

The narration as always was fantastic, and so strong on expressing the emotions, especially for Travis's visit to Jay's gravesite.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Very Emotional Tale

The sixth book in Taylor Rylan’s Silver Springs series, Healing My Amor is the story of Travis and Alejandro. Ms. Rylan doesn’t pull her punches with this one, and gives us some very emotional moments. The opening scene is action packed, and very moving.

Michael Dean performs the audio version of Healing My Amor and puts every bit of feeling possible into Travis’ grieving. He does an interesting voice for Alejandro, one I haven’t heard from him before, and it works well for the Spanish phrases in the story.

an audio book copy of Healing my Amor was provided to me for the purpose of my honest review
