A nice easy read
I love the author from her podcast. I pre ordered the book excited to read it. I listened to it while sick so think this may have impacted my experience with it. I liked her character development

Another amazing read from Holly!
It took me a few chapters to get the families straight but once I did I loved them all and enjoyed the development of their relationships and the drama! Such skilled writing!!

Absolutely loved this book
What a gripping read. I’m left thinking about these characters and what the next chapter of their lives may look like beyond that weekend away. The skill of jumping back and forth between characters and time is something else. Just fantastic!!

Motherhood “seen”
Holly sees us. She sees the hard parts we don’t talk about out loud. She sees the good parts that we do talk about. She also writes a damn good book about all of it.

Holly’s best yet!
Great narrative. Great narrator. Took a while to wrap my head around the many characters & family structure but I guess that’s a downside to audio format. Will listen again!

Wonderful
Wonderfully written. Although the story and background of the characters was complex, it was written in a way that flowed beautifully. I enjoyed the audio, each character had their own ‘voice’.

Brilliant
Absolutely loved this book, listened to it in one day and night.
