 Hans Moser (1880-1964, eigentlich Johann Julier) war lange Zeit Schauspieler in der Provinz und scheinbar ohne Aussicht auf den großen Durchbruch. Erst mit fast 45 Jahren wurde er "entdeckt" und avancierte zu einem der wichtigsten österreichischen Schauspieler der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. 1923 wurde er, fast zufällig, ans Wiener Revuetheater Ronacher engagiert. Und ebenso fast zufällig etablierte er sich im Wiener Kabarett mit der Nummer vom "Dienstmann", die ihn über Nacht schlagartig berühmt machte. Moser war Darsteller in zahlreichen Revuen des Wiener Kabaretts.
