About this listen

An original full-length novel set in the Halo universe and based on the New York Times bestselling video game series!

December 2553. Less than a year after the end of the Covenant War, a string of violent incidents continues to threaten the tenuous peace in human-held space, culminating in the assassination of UNSC fleet admiral Graselyn Tuwa and the abduction of her family. It is a provocation so outrageous that the Office of Naval Intelligence must retaliate swiftly and ferociously—but only after its operatives identify her killer and rescue the hostages.

This mission will be the first for homicide-detective-turned-ONI-operative Veta Lopis and her young team of Spartan-IIIs, and something feels wrong from the start. The obvious suspect is an infamous Brute dokab who leads the Keepers of the One Freedom, a Covenant splinter group in fierce opposition to the UNSC. But Lopis and her team soon realize that the truth is much more insidious than they could ever have imagined, and along with Fred-104, Kelly-087, and Linda-058 of Blue Team for combat support, must stop a plan hatched in the bowels of the secret research station Argent Moon—a plan so sinister it could destroy all those still reeling from thirty years of intergalactic conflict...

The number of times vestibule is said did get to me, but once I realized the quality of the word, my mind was at ease.

Scott Brick a great narrator as usual!
Would vestibule again👍

10/10 Vestibules

This is a good book just take a drink every time you hear “vestibule” and “sequester” and you’ll be in for a good night.

There are some lore discrepancies and the “power level” of Spartan II’s and III’s seem to vary wildly in terms of what they’re capable of and how durable they are. None of that takes away from the story however.

Vestibule’s and Sequester.

the reader was fairly good and helped build a easy to follow characterisation of the different characters and circumstances.
The story itself was a fantastic new addition to the Halo canon line-up.
It inserted the ferrets and Lopez as interesting and pragmatic characters who've held levels of importance in humanity, hinting at possible more inclusion in future stories or games. And there was a great expansion on the depth of Blue Team as human beings.
The story circumstances were likewise interesting for the future progression of Halo, and I do look forward to seeing what might become of Intrepid Eye and if Osman will become more involved in the games story.

another good addition to the Halo canon
