لطالما أحببت قراءة سير العظماء وقصصهم ؛ لأن سير حياتهم كتب مفتوحة نستقي منها عصارة فكرهم وخلاصة تجاربهم ، وكأنهم بقصصهم يشيرون إلى دروب النجاح التي سلكوها وإلى دروب الفشل التي أداروا لها ظهورهم أو تلك التي أوصلتهم إلى الفشل مرة ليرتقوا معرفتهم بها درجة في سلم النجاح الطويل . ومما أثار دهشتي هو المصاعب الجمة التي واجهتهم والتي كادت أن تخفي ذكرهم وتمحو أثرهم ، إلا أنهم عرفوا أن من استكان إلى الفشل لن يبرح مكانه ، ولن يحفر اسمه بماء الذهب على صحائف التاريخ الخالدة . لذلك اعتبروا المصائب فرصًا متنكرة وأحسنوا استغلالها ، واعتبروا أن الهزيمة في المعركة لا تعني خسارة الحرب ، فأعادوا ترتيب أنفسهم وأخذوا زمام الامر من جديد وكرروا المحاولة حتى وصلوا إلى ما وصلوا إليه فأصبحنا نذكرهم بأنهم عظماء .
