About this listen

Every disaster brings an opportunity.

Goth Sullus and his empire have fallen.

With the Legion and the rest of the galaxy watching from the still-smoldering galactic core, Carter, a former legionnaire turned private contractor, and Jack Bowie, a Navy spy with nowhere left to turn, sign up to work for an enterprising private contractor looking to make a statement on the planet Kublar.

Plans are in motion dating back to the Savage Wars, and as the galaxy rushes to fill in the vacuum created by the fall of the Imperial Republic, the bodies are hitting the floor.

But every plan has a reckoning…

Takeover is the thrilling aftermath of the final, desperate execution of Article Nineteen and the looming rebirth of the Legion and the galaxy itself as Galaxy’s Edge: Season Two begins!

One of my favorites to listen too. He did a fantastic job with the book. A great follow on from season 1

Great writing as always, took me a while to adjust to a different narrator but overall a good job.

Not bad at all

I like the narrator in other books. But when switching narrators mid series it is important to keep pronunciation the same. Every time he reads out the name "Chhun" I think a little part of me dies inside.

A good start to season 2

Story felt a bit isolated from others in the series. Took a little while to get use to the different narrator but was entertaining. Overall a good story.

While I enjoyed this reading, RC Bray is to me the real voice of this series

Good story and great narration.
It took me a few minutes to adjust to the new narrator (and his style) for this series.
The timeline for this book happens a number of years after the end of book 5, so that helped me adjust to a new set of characters and story line.

After a couple of chapters, the narration really starts to shine, bringing the new characters to life.

New timeline, new narrator, great story.

loved the book but Ray needs to listen to how the other names where pronounced it took me a few times at hearing the names to work out who he was meaning, as in I have listened to the same names of the men since the first battle at Kublar and now hearing them in this book and they are pronounced differently made if annoying to listen to

another great book
