Publisher's Summary

The Legion has landed....

The Republic world of Kima has fallen with shocking speed to the renewed forces of the Mid-Core Rebellion, and General Chhun must lead the rebuilt and enhanced 131st Legion - along with Marines, Dark Ops, Navy, and Kimbrin Resistance - onto the planet to violently check their assault.

But timing is of the essence, and Chhun can’t do it alone. Bear, working undercover, unearths the treachery of a resurgent Nether Ops still working their dark influence from the shadows. Masters has his hands full just staying alive while he evades deadly pursuers. And Keel finds himself swept up in intrigues that may make the planetary takeover of Kima all but insignificant.

The battle is fierce and hard, but victory is always within reach so long as the Legion - remade to its initial purpose - remains to fight.

Galaxy’s Edge Series

This is a great set of audio books. I loved every minute of them and RC Bray reading is the cherry on top! I can’t wait for the next instalment.

Good, except...

good, with some interesting turns and revelations but for this instalment of GE the action was intense such that it becomes a little difficult to keep up with in places, with the exact actions and deeds of some of the characters uncharacteristically easy to loose track of. But so far in 2 seasons of GE plus spin offs and back stories it's actually quite an accomplishment for that to have never been a problem before, so im still looking forward to the next one!

Lack lustre

This series really seems like it's turned into money grabbing, the books are shorter and it seems like the story isn't really going anywhere

Different Pace

previous stories allowed intro into other aspects of other characters lives as they journey through various missions. This books focus on one world and a large scale battle offered a different story pace and an obvious lead up to the bigger picture as to why the battle is significant.. look forward to the next instalment.. cudos to the Bray for his skills.

boring

too little progress in the interesting story lines, too much detail for the bit that did happen.

Boring filler story. Worst GE book of season 2

This book adds very little to the GE series or story arc. 90% of this book is a very boring description of legion battle on Kaimer. There is very little here other than "the MCR is better prepared than anticipated", with obvious references they are working with the savages. That's it, but drawn out for 12hours. You only have a few minutes of story from the main characters.. even Chueng is a bit part player in this story. Honestly I wouldn't waste my time on this book. All you need to know is that the Savages are using the MCR on Kaimer, Masters is missing and Kiehl meets up with everyone who needs him.

A little disappointed

After enjoying the rest of the series soo far, this book found me disappointed. Too much militarily jargon and new characters, without the ongoing storyline. I spent the whole book just waiting for the storyline to continue from where it left off.
