Die Freight Train Riders of America (FTRA), sind eine hauptsächlich im Norden der USA aktive Vereinigung Wohnungsloser, die regelmäßig illegal in Güterzügen reisen. Die Initialen standen ursprünglich für "Fuck The Reagan Administration!". Der Serienmörder Robert Silveria (alias Sidetrack) bestritt zwar seine Mitgliedschaft, ist der FTRA aber nach Überzeugung des Ermittlers Bob Grandinetti zuzuordnen. Silveria verübte nach eigenen Angaben 47 Morden an Hobos und obdachlosen Menschen entlang der Schienen, was ihm nicht nur eine lebenslange Haftstrafe sondern auch eine ausführlich "Würdigung" in der Fernsehshow "America’s Most Wanted" einbrachte.
