I’m loving the Rivers of London series. The story’s are interesting and fun with the right amount of fantasy. Kobna does a brilliant narration. Listen to the interview at the end of False Value with Ben and Kobna. Really interesting IMHO :-).
Hanging for the next installment now.

Some parts seem slightly drier than the previous books i.e. less magic and whimsy. But overall very exciting, full of richness and character. Kobna is still the perfect narrator for this series and makes an excellent Peter Grant. His voice is a dream. Excited for the next book & Beverley's twins! Have no clue how he'll fit fighting magical crime around 2 newborns.

Such a treat to listen to another book in the Rivers of London series. Ben Aaronovitch is a gifted story teller. His Nightingale and Peter Grant are so believable - which is something for high fantasy full of ghosts in jars and spirits in machines. Kobna Holdbrook-Smith is the ONLY narrator able to voice all these marvellous characters. What a gem he is. So - be told gentle readers - this book - and the others in the series - will transport you to another world which is infinitely scarier but altogether better than the one you now inhabit ...

Really enjoyed these books until I heard the audio version. Now I’m also in love with Kobna Holbrook-Smith’s narration. The characters come alive.
This one has an interview with author and narrator at the end (don’t be fooled that you’ve still got 15 mins of story left).

As expected I enjoyed every second of this reading. The storyline was hectic and wonderful and Kobna is always incredible in his performance.

This book had me sitting in the car park at work, reluctant to get out of the car. You make the commute so fun !

I saw someone once said “I’d listen to Kobna read the telephone directory” with which I’d completely agree. He is astonishingly good at his job.
But, being a techie myself, I loved seeing the two worlds collide in this story. Good one, Ben.

My current favourite series by far, quite literally, the magical component and characters are so relatable and believable, I feel there really may be a special falcon unit of the Met. Kobna is a dream and Aaronovitch has created something special.

Perhaps is because I have been waiting for so long and this book got delayed so many times that I almost forgot what happened, but I felt like it was missing something compared to the other books. Not enough Nightingale for example and well, all the old characters were barely mentioned in this new novel. I still enjoyed though because Kobna IS Peter and one of the best audiobook actors out there.
I missed the Rivers so much that overall it was still a good experience. Not my favourite of the series though
