THE STORY

the best part is the whole novel (confusing name system at start but once you get your head around it youll be good)

Before anyone says anything, this is a 100% Capital G Grimdark story. Many Characters die, it is full of bleak and depressing moments, its ending is ultimately bittersweet. But there is still hope, hope for a better future.

All of the Characters are great, all of them feel engaging and have unique perspectives. This story does Tau great, better then possibly any novel before it. It makes them feel suitably different from Humans, yet still ultimately relatable. It even does Ethereals well, many Tau stories in the past made Ethereals feel like heartless Monsters, but here while they are still cold and shrewd in many ways, they are still logical and understandable. You can understand why the other Castes look up to them.

Ultimately this should be considered the new bar by which all other Tau stories are held to, i ultimately just hope for more. Buy it, listen to it, learn from it.

A must listen for any Tau or Xenos Fan.
