Publisher's Summary

Riana's terrified of these fierce Kordolians. They fight like demons and possess strange alien technology that makes them damn hard to kill.

After her nerve-wracking experience on the superfreighter Hendrix II, she wants nothing to do with them. All she wants to do is live a peaceful Kordolian-free life back on Earth. Too bad the Board of Corrections is on her case over past misdemeanors. Too bad someone's trying to kill her. She has no idea why. Too bad the only one who can keep her safe is a scary-hot, silent alien with coldfire eyes and a very sharp sword. But hey, at least she doesn't have to deal with flesh-eating insectoid monsters anymore.

The only monster she has to deal with now is a silver-skinned one named Kail. And he's more than a match for her attackers. That's reassuring...right?

Contains mature themes.

good but different

well this went into a different area heading over to a different place and going through different channels more so than what she's done in the past. it was good to have some cybertek come into play and some old characters go along for the ride. Jillian did a really good job as usual her tone and inflections keep the characters different. looking forward to the last instalment

Excellent

This Dark Planet Warriors is about Riana the human and Kail the Kordolian and what starts out as a simple protection job in return for a favour from Riana soon blossoms into so much more as mercenaries and assassins close in all trying to kill Riana and Kail is the only thing keeping her allive. They form a bond based on trust but, when Riana nearly dies something changes in Kail and that bond becomes something much more and the sparks fly as the two fall deeply for each other. I highly recommned this audio book and the series as a whole. If only these guys were real I would take one in heart beat they are strong, loyal and reliable and take no prisoners when the need arises.

Sorry but not for me

I really tried but couldn't finish. The story itself is good but for me the narration wasn't.
I'm sure the narrator would be good with other genres but in my opinion she did not do this story justice.
