Publisher's Summary
Could you ever love the unrepentant rake who won you in a wager?
He didn’t gamble on losing his heart when he won her at the gaming tables.
Pierce, the Earl of Wainthorpe has finally thwarted his worst enemy. Except he can’t revel in his victory after winning his foe’s ward in a winner-takes-all wager. If Pierce refuses to assume Bianca Salisbury’s guardianship, the fiery-haired beauty with a matching temper may very well find herself sold to the highest bidder.
The shameful secret she guards makes it impossible to love a rogue.
Desperate to escape her blackguard cousin, Bianca Salisbury ventures to London to find a husband or employment. Instead, she’s bartered to a notorious rakehell. She either risks being compromised and accepts The Earl of Wainthorpe’s protection, or flees him and her guardian. But without money and a place to go, she fears she’ll face the same tragic fate as her mother.
Caution: This romance features a sexy, irredeemable scoundrel determined to thumb his nose at the haut ton, a saucy country miss unafraid to speak her mind but terrified of even a hint of scandal, a unlikely aristocratic matchmaker, a trio of busybody sisters you’ll adore, and a very pregnant calico that is convinced humans are only around for her convenience.
For a pause-resisting historical romance novel brimming with Regency England’s rakish dukes and rapscallion lords, buy this passionate adventure sprinkled with suspense and humor. You won’t be able to put it down.

Wicked and Lovely
I loved listening to this book! The story was well written and well narrated. I was pulled into the story and felt like I was a member of the cast. Pierce and Bianca are a perfect match for wits and stubbornness and so much more. I absolutely loved hearing their story unfold. It was fun to hear about some other characters from previous books and other stories by the author, although if you hadn't read them you might not have caught the name drops. I would definitely recommend this book!! I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

Wicked Earl's? Yes, please.
Regency romances are one of my favorite book genre's. This one was really well-done.
The wicked Earl in question was only bad on the surface. It served him well on his vendetta's but caused quite a lot of friction with his new ward. It made for a very delightful read.
I absolutely loved the narrator. I honestly can't recall if Manning is male or female; the presentation for both was exceptional.
If there are other books in this series, I'm all in.

So so...
This was an easy read. The writing was fair, and the characters were fleshed out. It just fell a little flat.

Truly enjoyed listening to the novel!
I Loved this book. I enjoyed listening to this novel. I love that Collette Cameron participated. I am excited to listen to the others!
The Earl of Wainthorpe, Pierce is half Munda (his mother was a Munda Princess) and half English. When he was young a soldier killed his mother. That soldier is now a Baron and guardian of Bianca Salisbury. During a game, (which Pierce is sure to win) Pierce bets more money than the Baron has. Pierce has him dead to rights by buying up all the baron's debt and won't stop until the man is ruined. What Peirce wasn't expecting was the baron wagering his ward. Now Pierce knows he must win and he must take over guardianship so that he can protect Bianca from the wretched man. He vows to protect her, but who will protect his heart! Bianca hides her feeling behind her witty bantering, yet is very afraid what happened to her mother will happen to her. She fights the attraction but knows what her heart wants. Bianca also has some hilarious talents: she can sew her clothes from the darndest things. You will enjoy this Wicked Earl immensely!

A Regency Love Affair At Its Best
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
The story of the not-so wicked Earl and the spunky and independent Bianca, has many moments of pleasant listening. I do like the idea of a heroine that shows some backbone and is not as easily manipulated by others, however hard that might have been in Regency England. The Earl is exotic and proves to have more sensitivity than you'd expect from a nobleman of the time. The ending was predictable, but then who doesn't like a happily ever after story?
The writing was well done and the interpretation very pleasant. Enjoyed it to the end.

Lovely Listen
Since I am a "died in the wool" fan of Collette's work, I will just say that this is one of her most fascinating stories. Pierce and Bianca intrigued me from the first chapter. So much so that I would love to read (listen) to more of their story in the future, and will be purchasing more of this series on the chance that they will be featured as sub-characters. Joff Manning as a narrator will also bear watching. He did an outstanding job.

Excellent Narration.
This was my first Collette Cameron novel and my first introduction to the Wicked Earl's Club. It works well as a stand alone story.
It is quite a charming read. Pierce is a very endearing character and not wicked at all. I enjoyed the activity surrounding the bet at the beginning of the novel and Bianca's interactions with the earl's sisters. However I would have liked more drama or suspense with Bianca's cousin, Fairfax, to liven up the story after Bianca becomes the earl's ward.
I loved the narration. I thought that the characters were all excellently performed and it was very easy to listen to. I would definitely listen to more books performed by Joff Manning.
This was a lovely Regency romance and I would look forward to reading more by the author although I found it annoying that American words were used instead of English e.g diapers. The inaccuracies annoy me as they have the immediate effect of pulling me out of the story's time and place. The phrase 'didn't have a pence' rather than a 'penny' also stood out.

If you're into bodice-ripping tales of rakish aristocrats, rapscallion lords, and fulsome damsels - with a dash of humour - this is the series for you. No need to start from the beginning of the series, you can jump straight in here. The narrator's rich and deep English voice is an extra treat!

Sweet & mostly clean with bursts of sexual tension
With a series title like The Wicked Earls' Club, I expected the book to be a little bit naughtier than it was. To be fair, the story is sweet. Pierce and Bianca undeservedly exist on the fringes of the haute ton. Their personal histories may be more scandalous, the reality of them is more scandal-less (despite a lot of scandal potential). In fact, despite the suggestion sexual tension between the two, and the overall compatibility, the story is quite clean. The story focused more on the gentle simmer of love between two bruised souls.
I enjoyed the story but I do wish there was a little more "wicked".
