About this listen

Everyone blamed Emily’s accident on a rubber ball left on the stairs by her frisky terrier. But the more she thought about her fall, the more convinced she became that one of her relatives was trying to kill her.

On April 17th she wrote her suspicions in a letter to Hercule Poirot. Mysteriously he didn’t receive the letter until June 28th… by which time Emily was already dead…

From the Narration to the performances and of course the story itself….. brilliant. Always enjoy listening to Hugh Fraser and David Suchet.

Wonderful

This is an underrated book in the Poirot series! Great characters and not too many leaps in logic so that the reader has a chance to figure out the solution in this one.

My favourite so far

Whilst this story did not grab me as much as some of the other Poirot novels, it was still a good mystery and kept me entertained. The delivered of the story continues to be incredible. I would happily listen to David Suchet and Hugh Fraser read a washing machine manual.

Another good Poirot story performed wonderfully

A cracking mystery made all the more enjoyable by the talents of Hugh Fraser as narrator. Definitely one I will come back to.

A great narrator? 'Hugh' bet!

A pleasing Agatha Christie detective story with the usual band of suspects and the always attentive Hercule Poirot. I must admit I have enjoy some "full cast" Agatha Christie audiobooks more but this is still well done with narrator Hugh Fraser doing a fine job. I partly guessed the "whodunnit" towards the end but it was still an interesting conclusion.

A Pretty Good Listen
