Publisher's Summary

A captivating new sexy stand-alone romance by New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster.

Special Forces veteran and Dark Knights Motorcycle Club member Bullet Whiskey lives to protect his family, their bar, and the residents of his small hometown. He's rough, unapologetic, and haunted by a secret, painful past. He's also a master at keeping people away, and when his sister hires gorgeous and sweet Finlay Wilson to help expand their biker bar, he knows just how to get rid of her.

After losing her boyfriend and her father, Finlay moves back to her hometown to be closer to the little family she has left. She needs her temporary job at Whiskey Bro's to get her catering business off the ground, and she's determined not to let the gruff, arrogant mountain of a man Bullet Whiskey scare her off.

Finlay is everything Bullet has never wanted. She's afraid of his dog, afraid of motorcycles, and sweet enough to give him cavities, but as she weaves her way into the hearts of everyone around him, he's powerless to resist her charms. Passion ignites, but trust doesn't come easily, and when their pasts collide, Bullet finds out the true meaning of protecting those he loves.

sweet

I thought this was a sweet story of a family that takes care of each other and their town. I loved the chemistry between the main characters and loved seeing into Whiskey and all his layers. He was damaged but not broken. Great characters!

Narration was great- very nice to listen to and fine production.

Really enjoyed the narrator he brought it to life

I read this book a few months ago when it was released as an eBook and really enjoyed it so when I was given the opportunity to get an advanced copy of the audiobook I jumped on it. Not only did I enjoy the narrator (Paul Woodson) but listening to the book come alive lead to me to taking my four star review and making it five! Being able to listen to the book added a new dimension to the story which I absolutely loved.

While Driving Whiskey Wild is the third book in The Whiskeys Series it can be read as a standalone which is exactly how I read it. Did I feel lost at all because I hadn't read the previous books? Not at all. This is one of the things I like most about Melissa Fosters books, you can read any of them in any order and never feel lost, but honestly her books are so enjoyable you'll want to read them all.

Bullet and Finlay have this opposites attract, bad boy / good girl, chemistry that was so hot I wondered if my kindle would melt. My heart broke for this tough, motorcycle club leather wearing, badass biker. He went through so much in his life always the protector of others even when it took the ultimate toll on him leaving him with a sever case of PTSD after being medically discharged from the military. Tinkerbell, Bullet's rottweiler, seemed to be the only thing that helped him with his flashbacks, well that was until Finlay came into his life.

I love this cute little chef, Finlay was dedicated to starting up her own catering business but I'm pretty sure she didn't expect the changes that would come to her life when she agrees to help Dixie with the expansion of Whiskeys Bro's. I enjoyed watching Finlay overcome some of her fears with the guidance of Bullet, this big strong man had a tender heart and an even more tender hand when it came to Finlay, something neither of them were use to.

This was a sweet and sexy read that had me tearing up a few times so you may want to keep tissues handy just in case.

Great story, loved the narration

Narrator Review: Paul Woodson’s gravelly voice brought Bullet alive. His narration was an excellent choice for this book. Book Review: Bullet Whiskey is truly a protector for his family, the bar, and The Dark Knights. As a former Special Force veteran, he lives and breaths to protect. He is a true alpha-badass who doesn’t need frilly, sweet, or sunshine in his life. But he is blind-sided when he meets just that in the form of Finlay Wilson. She is a petite whirlwind of goodness that he can’t stop himself from wanting. She is everything he doesn’t want, but can’t stop himself from needing in his life. Oh, Melissa Foster, I have a thing for badass, alph-men, and you created one in Bullet Whiskey! And when you had him fall for the girly, girl petite but mighty Finley, WOW! I just loved this story. I loved that the big guy was brought to his knees by the little but mighty girly girl! I can just read this story over and over, well done!

Finn and Bullet

This is my third book in this series I have listened to and each one has me wanting more. I this book we get Finn and Bullet's story. At first glance these two couldn't be more different. When you get farther into who they are and what they've been through you realize there's something really special there. Their story will take you on a journey you never thought you'd go on. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Fabulous Story!

What a fabulous book! Omg, I just love Bullet and Finley! On the outside they are completely opposite and yet their relationship just compliments each other. He’s the tough tattooed biker and she’s the sweet girl next door! They both have baggage and it’s like two halves coming together as one and helping each other heal! I loved this book! I also listened to the audible book and loved it!

Love this series!

I cannot get enough of the Whiskey family! This series is so much fun, and makes my heart full! This one is especially good with Bullet. He is ex-military, has a huge heart and will do anything to protect the people around him. But he has issues. Finlay is new to town, and only there temporarily. As a caterer, she is hired to expand the offerings at the Whiskey Bros bar. But what she finds is so much more. From the very start, this couple is explosive. Bullet is closed off, but there is something about Finlay that makes him more accessible. Finlay is a tough one, full of spunk and ideas, and Bullet is not the kind of man she sees herself with. Until she does, and once that happens, it's all passion. Foster writes this book with so much compassion and feeling, that I was completely entranced. Dealing with survivor's guilt, and PTSD is so hard, and she finds the right balance giving us the heart Bullet's story. And while I completely fell for this couple, I have to say that my favorite character is Tinkerbell the dog! What a puppy! She could not have been more perfect. Add in the Whiskey family and the MC club cameos and I felt right at home in my new found community of Peaceful Harbor. Keep them coming, I love it! Paul Woodson continues his phenomenal narration of this series. He just gets these characters and truly brings them alive. I love his voice and the way he is able to find that specific emotional pull for each of the characters. He is amazing.

AMAZING!!!

Let me ask you all a question. Have you ever listened/read a book and afterwards just sat and cried due to the sheer emotion that was put into the book? Melissa did this and the emotion in her writing ensures the listener is feeling the emotions the characters are and for me this shows how amazing an author is. I have loved, laughed and cried at all of her audiobooks but Truly, Madly, Whiskey went beyond that, the emotions you experience in this audiobook is raw. This audiobook deals with a storyline that is outside the norm of HEA but that makes them all the more real. Some readers will relate to this audiobook due to Bullet's background and what he has been through but there is a line in this audiobook that stood out for me..... "Broken is the wrong word for people like us, we are affected and hurt, but not broken. Broken implies that we need to be fixed." I agree with this what you experience through life can change you and can also make you stronger so for anyone to think they aren't good enough or need to be fixed because of what they have went through is wrong and this book and that line sends that message clearly. A message that will hopefully strike a chord as it did with me. The Whiskeys are family, a family who protect their own and love with their whole hearts. Bullet and Finlay may be opposites but they are perfect for each other, they compliment each other and Finlay is exactly what Bullet needs. I hope you enjoy this audiobook as much as I did, when I finished listening I wanted to go back and listen to it again, amazing!!!
