Publisher's Summary

A book that will change how you think and transform how you live.

Forget everything you thought you knew about how to motivate people – at work, at school, at home. It is wrong. As Daniel H. Pink explains in his paradigm-shattering book Drive, the secret to high performance and satisfaction in today’s world is the deeply human need to direct our own lives, to learn and create new things, and to do better by ourselves and the world. Along the way, he takes us to companies that are enlisting new approaches to motivation, and introduces us to the scientists and entrepreneurs who are pointing a bold way forward.

Convincing

Initially bought thinking it may be about personal motivation. Summing up the desire to begin a task for example. But the book mainly focuses on motivation in the business and working world.
The topics raised are fascinating and worth trying to put into practice. Recommended for progressive thinking managers.

excellent contribution.....

I loved the book, the author's contribution and narration. He captured the essence of the needs which all organisations and team are to account for if they are to inspire and partner with the best talent. I will certainly to all.

Great for businesses large and small

Really enjoyed this one and I'll be making some changes in the way I lead in my company because of it. I've thought for a while that motivation 2.0 was old hat but never had anything to back that feeling up or anything to replace it with. Now I do.

Insightful, researched, impactful

Sound research well presented in the text and delightfully read by Daniel. A huge contribution to the much needed turning of the ship towards healthier, more human, and enjoyable, motivating workplaces.

pretty good

focused too much on how to drive others than how to drive yourself. regardless, still some good gems contained in the book though
