Story
Sebastian Frost was a man with an interesting reputation. He’d killed 12 giants, eight heroes, a duke, and even a prince. But nobody ever talked about any of that. All they talked about was the deviant, disgusting, detestable Herald of Shalia that shamelessly laid with elves. That was because in the strange world based on game mechanics Frost found himself in, laying with elves was somehow treated like laying with animals. Naturally, they weren’t calling him Herald Frost the giant killer....

Publisher's Summary
Epic adventures, sexy ladies, and awesome dinosaurs!
Nate is the hardworking CEO of SouthernCool, an AC company in Florida. After years of toiling to get rich, he finally takes a well-deserved vacation to Australia. A chance encounter ties him to a gorgeous gal named Senna. Right as things between the two are heating up on the Great Barrier Reef, pesky aliens intervene.
Humanity is doomed, they tell him, destined to become extinct in the not-too-distant future. Nate and Senna are forced to compete for a spot on a human preserve. The competition turns out to be similar to a Real Time Strategy (RTS) 4x game. That means, in order to score points, you have to eXpand your empire, eXterminate your foes, and eXplore and eXploit your environment.
Warning: contains nontraditional relationships, adult interactions that would steam up the windows of an old pickup truck, and violent action. Listeners 18+ recommended.

good, but annoyingly politically correct
A good story, but full of strange and sudden politically correct preaching. I admit I may not be connected to current social norms. It just seemed strange to me that the main character was so terrified of the women around him. at one point the main character is hiding with a woman and taps her on the back to get her attention to motion that they should leave. He then has to go through this big song and dance about how terrible it was for him to touch her without her permission. This is just an example of the constant ludicrous terror this poor man has of the women around him. things like that repeatedly threw me out of the story. Other than that I enjoyed it.

Another must listen by Sloss
Sloss proves once again that he can deliver on all fronts. The overall premise was creative and original. The characters were memorable and likeable. The relationships were believable and made interesting to bind the reader to their outcome. I found myself rooting for their love, not just wishing to get back to the action. The 4x elements were done well, and the progression was given the proper focus. Even the politics had depth, and brought more to the 18 hrs of excellent story. Really I don't even read the synopsis when a new Sloss book comes out, I know it will be good because it says his name right on the cover image.

WHat a Mess
The Narraters of Daniel Wisniewski and Rebecca Woods did a good job for what they had to work with, Though a southern drawl is not Mr. Wisniewski's strong point, I feel he go the point across well. I tried to finish this and to give it the benefit of the doubt, then I tried to force myself, But I could not. The Title was so eye-catching and engaging, but I feel a little cheated. The male and female MC's have ZERO personality, which is sad because at the very start the Male MC Had the beginning of a real guy, one I can relate to, but then.... Then he met the female MC and Boom click love of my life over the cores of 1 bus stop conversation, and a short Cringey conversation about ALL of their super strict yearnings they want out of a love life that they both apparently as if by magic fit for each other. and it only gets worse as the book goes on and they start "Texting" each other over, and over and over again, slowing the story down and entrusting what is going on just someone can say how cute the other is. just feels like patting the story. Both the Male and female MC have no stress worries, guilt about anything! kidnaped? MS'. "Meh, what can we do." An A.I told you you risk a Death or being frozen for a told number of years of you lose the game? "Meh what can we do, you sure look cute babe!" there is completely no sense of seriousness or risk in the story. it's boring unless you like rolling your eyes. We can not forget how Fast the female MC get over and embraces the idea of her giving birth to a soulless manikin every week... The game they play is all over the place with really odd Rankings points being given out in the amounts of 00.54 points for exploring? WTF and so more statistics about beasts and Dino's that again seems to have NO point on the story save for just wanting weird statistics.

Dinosaurs and babes oh my!
Fun story and narration! Nate is just your average Joe who started up and runs his own air conditioning company. while on vacation in Australia he meets a girl gets kidnapped by aliens and transported into a gaming world where they must create their own civilization to survive. But that's not all. they are competing against others in a life and death match to have the chance to colonize a new world, and save humanity. Daniel and Rebecca do great job of bringing the characters to life with their fantastic narration! I can't wait to see where this series goes!

Had potential but failed
Enough with Shucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Minor Spoilers, The relationship dynamics was settled halfway through this book. I highly doubt I will continue this series. The MC allows his love intrest to dictate much of the relationship and work, as well simply walking over him. Well the 2 females sit at home nice and safe running everything the MC is out working hard and risking his life to provide. So i can not understand why his first wife can have companionship but the MC can't. Plus would not the wives want to ensure the MC safety when he is away from home? The final straw is leaving the addition to the relationship to the wives. The MC fines a unquie species who was traumatized and wants to join the family. The wives want to add her but he says no. The ultimate goal is to repopulate and he turns down an unquie species, one who is very rare. I simply lost all respect for the MC. The reason behind a small family was to ensure trust but ultimately it failed. When the MC was out a coup happened due to one of the people they revived. The MC died saving his wife and later she was poisoned. I guess that strategy did not work!!! Anyone with any brains would have known that. Yes a loved one can betray but it is much less likely then others you just employ.

average story turned to drivel by woke rubbish
Seems like book has been started by one author then handed over one chapter at a time to authors who need contracts in order to talk to the other sex. Utter woke drivel by the end. "No Dutchesses as there are no sexes in my army" was the last straw for me. Wasnt a great listen to start but was bearable at first, but couldn't force my way through.

Mixed feelings
The introduction of the book was done well Senna in particular seems sweet if a unrealistic personality. Later in the book we are introduced to Beth who basically muscle her way into their marriage with no remorse and they just accept it cause 'harem'. The best part of the book is the conquring and running down of enimeies although that can drag on i suspect you won't enjoy it as much if you don't play rts games like me. The two worst parts of the book are the extreme SJW stuff and the incredible rushed ending. The SJW is forced into every chapter and designed to basically say all men are trash and only mc treats women 'nice' trademark. It simply does not look good for the author as he is clearly using the mc to live vicariously though. The rushed ending was bad. The author clearly realised he reached his necessary word count for a book and boom over. In short the book should have been about four times longer with the pace it was going. Tldr: I doubt anyone but RTS playing male nerds who don't mind being stereotyped and insulted every chapter would enjoy this.
