Publisher's Summary
“From here on out here’s how it’s going to go. I play. You play. Don’t hit on me. Don’t flirt with me. Understood?"
Handsome, charismatic, and blessed with a voice that brings thousands of fans to their knees, Trent Donovan is a walking cliché. But he has another thing coming if he thinks he can charm his way into my panties.
I don’t care if he’s rich and famous because I’m not here to bag a rock star. I’m here to pave my own way. To prove I belong center stage.
There’s just one problem.
The more time I spend on the road with the band, the more I realize Trent’s nothing like the arrogant playboy I expected. We share a love of music, and if I’m honest so much more.
I came on this tour to follow my dreams, but if I’m not careful he’s bound to lead them off track - right along with my heart.
The books in the Off Track Records series are interconnected stand-alone romance novels, and can be listened to in any order.

love story with a touch of rock.
1st time listen from this author. she centred love nicely around the the rock touring. not much in the way of tunes or written songs...no real description of stage performances, so basically it's the lexies inner battle with her demons that eakes the story out,
heroine does a change up Inside 24 hrs of her obsesseing over her mantra -not to go there, but folds easy and seems to accept it all way too readily , especially as it's been something that's shaped and dictated her life from the get go
that was the only fault I found.
never listen to Lessa before but she's gooooood. I'm looking for others she's narrated now. Jason is always at his wonderful self...no surprises there.
it was definately a light rock star read and a heavier love story read.
but it was well done with steam, humour and love

Music to my ears!
Hi! I am Kacey Shea, the author of Detour. I could not be more satisfied with this audiobook production and I'm so happy to bring this and the rest of my Off Track Records novels to audio.
Jason Clarke nails the humorous banter between bandmates as well as Trent's inner monologue with such an honest performance. His ability to create distinctive character voices and maintain them throughout is impressive. He's such a standout narrator.
Lessa Lamb is one of my new favorite female narrators. When I heard her for the first time last year, I instantly knew she's be perfect for this book. She delivers Lexi's confidence and snark, but also a vulnerability that is so touching. Lessa and Jason's narration styles compliment each other so well!
If you love enemies-to-lovers, steamy rom coms, and outstanding narration, then I think you're going to enjoy this book.

Brilliantly Performed!!
DETOUR is a standalone, opposites attract, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, rock star romance, that's brilliantly performed.
Jason Clarke & Lessa Lamb did such an amazing job by bringing Trent and Lexi's story to life, and making me feel part of it. Their interactions, chemistry, and connection was palpable. They manage to expertly performed secondary characters like few others. This duo was perfection!!
All in all, DETOUR is a fun, sexy, passionate, steamy hot, entertaining and emotional story that I really enjoyed listening, and I highly recommend.

Awesome! Clarke and Lamb are perfection! 🔥
Rockstar romances are one of my favorite tropes, especially when done right and Kacey Shea has worked her magic with DETOUR. Trent and Lexie’s story is the perfect blend of drama, angst, and all things delicious, unputdownable romance! Kacey Shea effortlessly weaves passion, plenty of feels, and gives us a hero to drool over and a couple to root for!
Narration was performed by Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb. I was new to Lessa Lamb, but I thoroughly enjoyed her heartfelt and emotional performance. Jason Clarke brought Trent to life perfectly and honestly, I could just listen to that man speak for days! 5 stars.

4 She's My World Tour STARS
Fun rockstar romance with great side characters. The banter between the band and Lexi was my favorite part. The hero is a manwhore and somewhat of a mommas boy. I found his relationship the band had with his mom sweet. Lexi was a strong heroine who was guarded because of her past. The only negative is I wanted more of Trent and Lexi's relationship as a couple because I'm greedy like that! Overall I really enjoyed the story and the characters.
Narration was amazing! Bonus the female narrator sings some parts.

Great series opener!
I really enjoyed this rockstar romance, it is funny, steamy and emotional. I loved both characters, despite being a playboy rockstar Trent is a really good guy and I love Lexi feistiness and her strength. The narration was amazing. You can’t go wrong with Jason Clarke and he was perfect as Trent. Lessa Lamb is new to me and I loved her narration for Lexi, there was also the added bonus of Lessa singing. This was an amazing series opener and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

LOVE!
Who doesn't love a Rock n' Roll love story! The story of Lexi and Trent was so good. The story has enough of a slow burn between these characters that you feel their connection.
In the beginning, Trent the hero is a manwhore of epic proportions but he has no commitments so hey what do you expect. Lexi, the heroine has had a rough life and upbringing with a famous rocker for a dad and groupie mom. She has her reasons to keep love at a distance and focus on making it big with her music. I loved Lexi so much. The side characters were so much a part of the story that you want more of their stories as well especially Sean! The bus antics were hilarious and made me laugh out loud.
Jason Clarke did such an amazing job as always! Lessa Lamb, wow she is so in my top 5 female narrator list! Something about her voice and ability to sing that has me all girl crushing on her. The sass she brings out in her characters is everything.
Kacey Shea, well done! I have been a fan of hers since her Caught series and this one did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Singing this book’s praises!
I can’t love this book enough! I enjoyed every single second of Detour! The story of Lexi and Trent is so beautiful and I enjoyed their journey so very much! I laughed and cried and just overall fell in love with the story and characters. This is definitely a book I will be coming back to more than once.
The narration of Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb deserves all the praise as well. They both fit the characters perfectly. Jason as Trent did a remarkable job as always and Lessa is the perfect Lexi with her smooth raspy voice.
I highly recommend this book and know anyone will enjoy it as much as I have. ❤️

Amazing
This was a great story! Quite enjoyable to listen to them find their rhythm as a couple.
Narrators Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb were the perfect voice choices for this rock star series!!
His is deep and gravelly but smooth at the same time.
Lessa has a sweet tone and a gravelly tone and is able to swap back and forth as needed. She can sing with a gorgeous melody!
I can’t recommend this enough ❤️

Five Rockin’ Stars
This is my first Kacey Shea book, and I was hooked from the first chapter until the last. I don't read/ listen to a lot of rockstar romances, not because I'm against them, they just don't happen to pop up when the mood strikes. I am so glad this book jumped out as I was scrolling my Audible library looking for something to listen to.
Kacey Shea has this wonderful way of writing that is just all-encompassing. She pulls you into the story and holds you captive until the very last word, whilst making you feel every emotion she inflicts on her characters.
Trent is one of those characters that is elevated to book boyfriend status early on. With his rockstar persona, devilish good looks, cocky attitude and how he treats the important women in his life, it's hard not to be enamoured by him. His heart is what really won me over though.
I love Lexi, she could have done things the easy way but wanted to make it on her own, and I loved that about her. She didn't have the easiest past and that is reflected in her actions. She's feisty and doesn't let Trent and the band walk all over her. Once she let's her walls down, she builds such great relationships with all of them.
Together they are so good. They have great banter, which I'm a huge fan of. Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and when they finally give in, they're explosive together. Their give and take really worked for me, and when they loved, they loved wholly. The support they have each other and refusal to let the other push them away really gave their relationship that extra awesomeness.
Although there are a couple of difficult situations, the book itself isn't angsty and the emotional scenes really worked to enhance the story and the relationship between the couple. The dynamics in the band was fun to experience, and I can't wait to see more of them in the following books and experience their happily ever afters too.
I chose to listen to this book because I was in the mood for some Jason Clarke, and as always, he didn't disappoint. He voiced each member of the band so uniquely that it was easy to discern each one. His female voice is one of the best in the business and is showcased so perfectly in this book. He was the perfect choice to voice Trent, the cocky rockstar vibe was strong, but his heart really shone through too. This was my first experience of listening to Lessa Lamb, and she was fantastic. Her voice is easy to listen to, she is able to differentiate the different characters smoothly and effectively. She was a great choice to voice Lexi, an up and coming rockstar with a difficult past. Jason and Lessa’s voices complemented each other well and the transition from one to the other was smooth. There were a couple of tough moments in this book and they were performed to perfection by both voice actors. Their ability to switch from humour to emotional was beautiful and each was delivered so flawlessly. The production was brilliant with no issues.

Can't recommend this enough!
As with most stories with feisty heroines and plenty of witty banter, I loved this book! Trent and Lexi's story is funny, dramatic, and steamy. Looking forward to the next book in the Off Track Records series, Derail.
Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb were perfect as Trent and Lexi.
Detour is a contemporary rockstar romance written in dual first-person POV and recorded in dual narration. It's a standalone that ends with an HEA and deals with sensitive subjects some may find triggering. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

I felt I was on that tour bus too!
I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book! So much so, I finished the book in one go!
It had a nice mix of life, lust, work, play, family, friends and love. And even though in my head I thought some areas of their work, fame and lack of outside intrusion were brushed aside, I could easily roll with it because the story just worked.
Narrators, Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb are pure perfection!

Fantastic rockstar romance
This was a great rock star romance. It was realistic in many ways. Trent is a player, which is probably expected for a good looking rock star. Lexi is an up and coming artist who joins their tour and she is such a great character- really cool and independent. She is truly a fantastic female character who stands on her own two feet, even with a very difficult past. Trent and Lexi start as enemies but quickly become friends. This is a slow burn romance and it's important to say that Trent doesn't immediately stop being a playboy, even after he meets Lexi. However, their chemistry is really strong and I loved watching their relationship grow. I especially appreciated Trent's growth and we see his strength, loyalty and love for Lexi and his friends really leap off the page, especially as the story progresses. This is a series that follows the band and it is a wonderful introduction to the other characters. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
The book is great. I bought the ebook but I requested and received an early copy of the audiobook and the audiobook elevated the story. It was fantastic. I love Jason Clarke; he pretty much can do no wrong, in my book, when it comes to narrating a story. He manages to distinguish between multiple male characters as well as female characters. It is always a great experience to listen to his reading. This is the first time I've listened to Lessa Lamb narrate. First, her voice is perfect for Lexi. She has a gorgeous smoky voice with an emotional edge, she sounds like a rockstar (at least what I think one should sound like!) and she has some singing clips! Together, the narration totally elevated the story and made it even more enjoyable than reading the ebook alone.
