Als Hardy seine Wohnung betritt, liegt Taylor erschossen am Boden. Nun selbst Verdächtiger im Visier der Staatsanwaltschaft, hat Hardy keine Wahl: Er muss den wahren Mörder finden. Doch der Kreis der Verdächtigen ist groß, denn der stille Taylor scheint neben vielen Liebhaberinnen auch eine Menge Feinde gehabt zu haben.
