Isa van Doornbosch geeft Frans op het Thorbecke College. Als ze van de directeur het verzoek krijgt om een aantal maanden een stagiair te begeleiden, doet ze dat met frisse tegenzin. Ze houdt nu eenmaal van een strakke planning en van haar eigen schema. Een stagiair is dus alleen maar lastig. Zodra Tristan de Rooij de school binnenstapt, groeit haar tegenzin nog meer. Hij is veel te nonchalant naar haar zin en bovendien lijkt hij ontzettend op haar ex, die een vreemdganger en flierefluiter was.
