Summary
Master Commander Carter Rose has always been one step behind the Aterniens, but now it is time to take the fight back to his enemy. His plan necessitates him finding the mastermind of the Longsword officer program – a man who has not been seen in nearly a century.
Then out-of-the-blue, Rose receives word from Brodie Kaur, his former Master-at-arms, and an augmented soldier whom he could sorely use in the fight ahead. The problem is he’s supposed to be dead.
